bold and brazen in santa clara. we went inside a business where the damage was extensive. robert. >> reporter: copper thieves have struck again, this is a three inch pipe usually filled with copper wiring, it runs the length of the ceiling. armstrong is a manufacturing company but because of thieves that progress has temporarily come apart. workers are preparing $6,000 in damage, the thieves broke in and ripped out 600 feet of wire from the ceiling, saturday night or early sunday morning as one person put it. it's not easy pulling out enough wiring to cover two football fields. >> they mutilated everything. they. >> reporter: they were victims earlier when thieves dresseddas

earnings. they rose to $275 million. that tops expectations, that is in part due to a gain from a private settlement with a vendor. shares for it'll up $13 today. overall stocks held onto their rally today. the dow gained 78 points. >> cooler weather is helping firefighters -- to help fight a wildfire threatening home as long the coast. the fire started yesterday. it's now 30% contained with full containment expected tomorrow. 60 homes are still evacuated. nobody has been hurt. there is still no word tonight on how that fire started. firefighters say they are making progress in the robber's fire that's grown to 2600 acres since it started six days ago. it's now 50% contained.
