investigation of a fatal accident. it happens near the west barrett exit. an oakland man was riding his motorcycle when he was hit and killed. all lanes will be closed for several hours. let's go back to the desk. just within the past hour, san jose police cleared the scene of the city's latest homicide. 8:30 last night police received a report of a car hitting a pedestrian on east st. john and second street. when they arrived they found a man on the ground and it turns out he had been stabbed. paramedics performed cpr and they brought him to the

hospital but he dated. the victim's name is being withheld until his family is notified. deputies were called to silver avenue and richmond. they inspected the ground and placed a number of markers. it is believe all those markers represent shell casings but they are not commenting. police sell us the radio system failed on monday. paul chambers tells us how that affected security. >> reporter: this has happened a number of times and it happened during the president's visit and some officers were not able to talk to one another. roughly 100 officers who worked the area downtown before during and after at the fox theater

had major issues communicating according to one report. for about several minutes, there were several protests going on at that time and it compromised the safety of the president and officers as well. they say despite spending $18 million on a new system that was just installed last year it was not working and not being able to connect with dispatchers and other officers is concerning. they are working with a consultant to decide whether or not they should spend millions to join 0 neighboring industries. we will tell you if the

stairwells and if they spot a mess they call in cleaning crews. in the past few years, bart has spent $5 million and one says he has never seen anything like it. well today's facebook for investors is showing concerns. the stock has fallen 6% and zing stock fell 40% after posting the worst results. now the san francisco company says the drop in players resulted in a nearly $23 million loss and that compares to the $1.5 million profit for the same time last year. facebook relies on the games for 15% of its earnings.

sexually assaulted while rogue around lake michigan for breast cancer survivors. she was attacked in a cabin of her boat. this is a picture of her recovery on water. police believe a man used her post to find out where she was docked and broke in and assaulted her. she vows to finish her trip but will not travel alone from now on. they are suspected of selling drugs and now allison burns has more from the drug enforcement administration. >> reporter: now the drug enforcement is taking this seriously. they have raided dozens of cities and in new york they carried out huge bags of cash from one shop.

los angeles facility. the fight lasted about 15 minutes. guards used pepper spray to get everything under control. guards say it was a racially motivated fight. the inmates were taken to the hospital and they suffered moderate to minor injuries. and they claimed the life of one man an injured two others in san francisco. here is some home video of that fire. it started just before 10:00 on clear are you court. -- on clear are you court. -- clearry court. at least 12 people have now been displaced. a disturbing case of animal cruelty in monterey county. it comes after they discovered more than 113 dead kittens in two homes in seaside. they were wrapped in towels and

america. a channel 2 special report shows more cities are putting a stop to red light crashes. horrific crashes justified the use of red light camera and the system started showing you have 15 years ago and they also made a lot of money from the cameras. one in emoryville helped to issue more than 3,000 tickets and the city is getting rid of it because they required most of the revenue go to sacramento which ended up costing emoryville 100,000 a year. they say the devices are plain unjust. >> nobody ever made that push that we need to stop right turn violations. they show the films and the accidents which occurred two seconds after the lights turn red. >> bay area cities are dumping

get you dea, drug enforcement administration details in -- details in just a few minutes. and a whom said, 830 officers received a report of a car hitting a pedestrian in downtown san jose. when they arrived they found a man facedown on the ground. now he had been stabbed. paramedics performed cpr but he died at the hospital. his identity is being withhold until his family is notified and he is believed to be in his 20s and they have identified some tattoos on his body. two people were wounded. both of the victims drove themselves to the hospital, they are expected to survive. there is no information on what led up to that shooting. also this, an he

embarrassing situation with a tree. this is at fillimore and sick more -- fillimore street and the tree is wedged between part of the car. we don't know if the truck pulled out of a parking spot and took the tree branch with it but firefighters brought in a chain saw to remove it. it is a real stinky problem, downtown bart is being treated more like public restrooms and they are saying not much can be done about this problem. right now they are trying route these homeless people and we are at civic station and they are cleaning these stairwells every single day but the homeless are leaving their mark on the station and it has

gotten unsanitary. unless they catch people in the act of going to the bathroom they cannot give them a ticket. what they found underneath was so gross. human excrement caused the escalator to break down. it is not uncommon to see homeless people relieving themselves at the bottom of the stairwell. >> i am guilty, i admit i have had to go to the bathroom, not number two but number one, i had no shame and i go for it and i know it's not right, but sometimes it is hard to find a bathroom around here. according to the san francisco chronicle, five of the escalators that were not working are in downtown san

this year. and an suv ran into a cable car which happened at union square. no passengers were hurt but the grip man and conductor suffered minor injuries. the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. and facebook released information as a public company. sing has very close -- zing has very close connections to the company. and a major portion of the department's troubled radio system failed during president barack obama's visit on monday. paul chambers is here to talk about the problem and what is being done, paul? >> reporter: last year they spent $18 million on a new radio testimony that was installed dollars last year.
