sweat shirt and blue jeans. police are investigating their 23 homicide of the year. police found a man suffering from stab wounds last night around 8:30 p.m. the victim was taken to the hospital where he died. police haven't released the victim's identity and no arrests have been made. a man accused of killing his girlfriend appeared in court today. he is charged with murder for using a machete to kill her on june 26. he did not enter a plea today. several large trees have fell during the past week without notice, one even seriously ingeorged a boy -- injured a boy. ktvu's alex savage is live with more. >> reporter: drought conditions

police say the gunman who may have killed a couple inside their home earlier this week could be on his way to mexico. marybell jimenez and pedro jimenez were killed in their home early monday morning. their three children were home and not hurt. police say this is the gunman, he is 31-year-old pedro castellon medina of san jose and they say he may be traveling to southern california or possibly mexico. investigators believe he was the former boyfriend of pedro jimenez. we are learning new details about a plane that crashed in alaska last week. the plane broke apart in air before hitting the ground. the crash killed the two. the couple leased leased the plane. they were headed to fair banks when they crashed. people who received a loan advance on their pay checks are
