>> good evening. i am ken wayne. >> i am healther h -- heather holmes. >> a ride on six flags' roller coaster turned into a 90 minute ordeal. this afternoon the riders became stuck on the new superman ride and an hour ago fire crews brought the last rider to safety. ktvu's patty lee is live where she talked with some of the witnesses. >> reporter: you can see the superman ride behind me, those guests were hanging 150 feet in two cars on top of this track for an hour and a half. you can see crews used a crane to hoist a cage up to the ride and an engineer freed the cars that ran back down the track.

a spokeswoman said the ride got stuck after the first tower. they have been uprite the whole time -- up right the whole time. the ride was working this morning and this is the first roller coaster in a decade and there were crowds lined up to see it. >> waiting to go on this ride. one of the main reasons i came here. it shouldn't be stuck. it is better they weren't upside down. >> reporter: six flags president is coming out to speak with us. he will have details on what happened to stop the ride, how they found a way to fix the ride and talk about compensation if any for the riders and what happens next for this brand new ride now at a stand still. patty lee, ktvu channel 2 news. we are learning more about the woman who was killed after

she fell out of a moving party bus on highway 17. friends and family are speaking out. ktvu's janine de la vega is live with new information. >> reporter: people have been bringing in flowers and cards all day here to the surf shop on pacific avenue. her parents own the store and the friends can't believe she is gone. >> reporter: she was kooibid as -- described as care free and fun. >> it is horrible this happened to such a beautiful, nice girl. >> reporter: california highway patrol say she was one of 15 people on a party bus traveling on highway 17. investigators say before highway 9 she and a girl were fighting when the doors opened

and both fell out. she was run over and killed by the bus. the other woman suffered road rash. she worked at her parent's store. she had been accepted to college. >> it is almost not real yet. i am expecting to hear from her because i haven't seen her. >> reporter: chp officers are trying to track down the officers to find out how the door opened. many on the bus were drunk and it appears some ran away. they are investigating if the bus was negligent. tonight friends are focusing on good memories. >> always had a smile on her face. >> reporter: her grandmother said her sister was a former contestant on the show so you think you can dance and she came back to be with the family. janine de la vega, ktvu channel

2 news. authorities issued a statewide amber alert for a girl taken from her home last night. 16-year-old eunice serrato was abducted by her boyfriend and his father. authorities fear the men are connected to a double homicide. last night authorities found two male bodies. eunice serrato is 5 feet 5 inches tall, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. the suspects were last seen in a blue chevrolet tahoe with california license plate number 6w54124. authorities believe they may be headed to mexico. the coroner released the names of two people killed in a crash yesterday. authorities say the two were in the same car when it was truck

on 63 avenue. the fire started in an empty house in the back of the lot. officials say homeless people may have been living inside. a woman in the front house heard someone yell fire this morning. >> i looked out by bedroom window, the front of the house on fire. ran down stairs, grabbed my kids and went outside. >> the gas was turned on but nobody was hurt. fire crews from four agencies banned together to fight a brush fire. it broke out in thick vegetation at benicia state park. 2-3 acres burned. the cause is under investigation. cal fire says crews are making progress on the wildfire. the fire broke out in an area of heavy brush yesterday

. an oakland store was damaged last night when an suv crashed into the side of the building. the suv left a hole on the side of the liquor store at international boulevard. there were no customers inside at the time just the owner and the worker but the owner had minor injuries to his hand. the bart station is back up and running tonight after a shooting last night prompted police to shut it down. someone fired shots before 10:00 p.m. last night. nobody was hurt but police closed the station for two hours while they searched for the gunman. and work crews were on the scene of a water main break in

now to our coverage of the movie theater shooting in colorado. memorial services this weekend for several of the victims gave family and friend a focus for their grief. the accused gunman's next court appearance is this week. >> reporter: funeral and memorial services for the victims of the colorado movie theater shooting. james holmes is scheduled to be charged monday but friends and families of the victims are still trying to come to grips with what happened. >> you don't have time to think about what you are going to do. >> reporter: a document released friday disclosed james holmes was a patient of a

psychiatrist before the attacks. the information was contained in a request by the suspect that attorneys hand over a package he sent to the doctor. the package was seized during a search last week. she agrees with james holmes' position. >> any communications between the defendant and the psychiatrist are absolutely protected. we don't know at this point when the last time is he had communications with her. we don't know the nature of the communications and at this point the communications are protected. >> reporter: he weighed in on patient-doctor confudentstiality. >> we have a obligation to warn people. >> reporter: james holmes is accused of killing 12 and wounding dozens.

. recapping our top stories. a new roller coaster at six flags got stuck this afternoon leaving passengers stranded 150 in the air. the superman ride stopped with several passengers left stranded. there were there for 90 minutes till they used a crane to reach them and get them down. the last rider was brought down 90 minutes ago. the identity of a woman killed in a party bus accident was released. she and a woman were fighting on the bus when somehow the door of the bus opened and they fell out. the other woman was injured and she was planning on going to san jose state university. the push is on to find a bone marrow match for a oakland teen. ktvu's ann rubin talked with family and strangers determined to find a match and she
