that over seize facebook pages for major league baseball teams posted an offensive status update about the owner of chick fil a on the facebook page of the giants. the update used a curse to refer to the owner of the restaurant. the administrator also put up posts saying the yankees, derek jeter would have sex change surgery. the marlins would host pit bull night and the white sox was endorsing mitt romney. police are investigating vandals at a restaurant in southern california. someone spray painted on the wall in los angeles county. employees found it when they came to work today. >> one person was hurt today in the roll over crash of an armored truck in arin. the highway patrol said a truck went down a bank and ended up on the roof.

>> facebook recovered a little today after hitting a new low. stock went to about $21 a share. that's still down from the first offering of $38 a share. the ceo himself has lost about $9 billion since the ipo in may. yesterday he lost more than 420 million. he owns about half a billion facebook shares. another network, linked in has seen its fortunes go up. the site second quarter revenue shot up 90% to $228 million, stock rose 16% today closing at $108 a share. >> higher humidity and calmer winds helped crews get a better handle on a wildfire. this evening 100 homes are still under evacuation orders, the fire burned 900 acres and is 0% contained. they believe it was sparked by human activity on the median.

an aalert still in effect in solano because of a grass fire. flames were seen around 3:00 near the northbound lanes of interstate 680 near marsh view road. crews cleaning up but the highway patrol said the off ramp is still shut down. no word on what started the fire. >> san jose police arrested a 42-year-old who they say injured two officers during a traffic stop and chase. lisa hernandez was being held for assault, evading police, driving under the influence and violating parole. yesterday she hit an officer and in the chase injured another officer when she rammed his patrol car. we have cell phone video from where the chase ended. both were treated released from the hospital. a memorial service was held today for one of the victims of the colorado movie shooting. the service was held in reno near the home of jonathan blung

a veteran and father of two. the 26-year-old served three tours in the middle east and planned to go back. there will be a full military funeral tomorrow. he is one of 12 people killed last month. >> violence is growing in syria. groups posted this video online of fighting. the un overwhelmingly passed airest lotions condemning the government for shelling civilians. russia and china vetoed similar moves. it comes one day after the un special envoy resigned. and the international news agency says someone hacked its blogging site and posted false stories about syria. one of them claimed to be interview with rebel leader. they said it doesn't foe who hacked the site.

deportation, same sex relationships. today homeland security officials said that illegal immigrants in same sex relationships with americans are eligible for consideration and renewed federal program designed to set priorities of deportation cases, however that doesn't mean the obama administration will automatically shelf deportation cases or process green card applications involving foreign citizens married to american partners. >> california's two united states senators have introduced legislation aimed to keep unsafe rental cars off the road. the proposed law would require companies to stop renting or selling cars if they are under recall until they are fixed. it's named san francisco two california sisters killed when a rental car they drove caught fire. it was under recall but rented to them any way. . >> i don't want to see it happen again. if i don't do something, if i don't speak up, it'll continue.

>> nothing is firm yet on when or if congress will consider the bill. we have the update on the story we first brought you earlier this summer about a fire station in contra kosta that was shut down. it was closed more than a month ago because of mold problems and a rat infeastings. the fire district has helped respond to emergency calls in that area. the times reports the responses have gone up 13% since that station closed. most of those calls we are told were false alarms. >> oakland church that survived a devastating fire two decades ago is reeling again after someone stole their church bell. robbers hit the church in west oakland. they took the half century old bell. they broke into a security gate and must have used a forklift to take the bell. the bell you survived a fire

strikes this time of year. the tropical moisture will work north. i will show you that in a moment. 84, 86 concord, 85 livermore. clouds will increase tomorrow. the low clouds in the morning and then the southerly flow from the tropics, you see where it's coming from. the water a lot warmer. the humidity higher. the moisture gets further north it's triggering thunderstorm around santa barbara. we have a good chance tomorrow afternoon for some thunderstorms, near parts of the bay area. here we have activity around the mammoth lake area. the big concern is dry lightning, high level stuff. not expecting a lot of rain from any of the cells, we are expecting potential for lightning. the national weather service responded a red flag warning, covering most of the area from lake port, up in to the redding area and back down toward the kirkwood area and the southern sierra nevada. dry lightning a possibility.

. the government is about to recoup more taxpayer money spent on the 2008 crisis bailout. the treasurey department announced today it's selling four and a half billion dollars of aig stock. the insurance company has indicated it'll purchase up to $3 billion of the stock. this is the government's 4th round of aig stock sales. the government stepped in with $182 billion in 2008 to rescue aig from collapse. aig still owes taxpayers $30 billion. the trade commission doesn't ask for money and

tonight it's warning about a scam where criminals claim to be associated with them. he says he is with the ftc and they have won $250,000. as long as they first wire $2,000 in for taxes. the real ftc said there is no sweep stakes and this is a scam. they say if you fall victim here is the number to call. >> a county judge ordered lawyers in the case of an accused child molester arguing if the judge has the right to grant bail. at issue is whether it's still at the supervision of the napa state hospital where the doctor has been treated for dementia. is he accused of molesting seven boys during the 90s. the judge set a hearing october 2nd. the family of joe paterno said it'll appeal the ncaa
