sandwiched between two vehicles this afternoon. they said it happened after a rail car rear-ended a white car pushing it into a bus. it happened near first street. nine people had minor injuries but obvious two in the car and a passenger on the street car were taken to the hospital. >> security questions raised today when a man scaled the golden gate bridge spending the night on top of one of the tours. around 6:00 a suicide alleman somehow got past the fences, security cameras and barbed wire to climb up to the top of the south tour. >> received a call there was someone on the cable and he climbed up the bridge in to the fog. >> reporter: authorities were finally able to talk him down 14 hours later but had to stop bridge traffic twice. the bridge manager said she is looking into how the man got past security to try to prevent

behind bars after highway patrols said he led officers on a high speed chase that spanned four counties. officers spotted them around 2:00 this morning on the bridge. the pursuit continued in to vallejo and then san francisco. authorities say crocker turned around and headed east back across the bay bridge. he continued on into interstate 80. >> the privacy of 2500 patients at stanford could be at risk after a computer was taken last no. the hospital said someone took the password protected computer containing patient medical information from the locked. they are now telling patients and reviewing security measures. >> the office needs your help to try to find a missing man who could be in danger. this man, alfred guzman left

his home around 8:45 in a gmc truck with a license plate of 4x67167. they say the 79-year-old has alzheimer's but hadn't taken his medication. he was last seen wearing black jeans and a blue shirt. he is missing his right newspaper. >> a former real estate agent facing serious charges for allegedly stealing more than a million dollars from clients. jill -- san jose charged with 44 counts of felony fraud. prosecutors say he took money from victims by saying she was lending it to homeowners in exchange for monthly interest payments. they didn't know anything about the loans. >> hundreds of friends and family members gathered today to say good-bye to a military veteran killed in the colorado shooting. a funeral for the 26-year-old was held in reno today.

witnesses say he died shielding a friend inside the theater. he served three tours with the navy in the middle east and he was planning to reenlist. a public service is scheduled for tomorrow. he leaves behind a wife and two young children. a new poll indicates support for a measure to repeal the death penalty in california has dropped since the colorado shooting. a survey found support for the proposition dropped from 45% to just under 36% after the shooting. the proposition would turn death sentences in to life sentences. >> the 4th bore project is about to hit a milestone, about two years in crews are close to finishing the giant hole. it's set to open by 2013. a spokeswoman said it's on schedule and with in the 420

million-dollar budget. >> the fair is now in full swing and this year fair officials try new ways to buck up bad tradition. poor attendance. robert honda is live in san jose to show us the strategy. >> reporter: we are in the middle of all the fun but this is an important year for the fair. it has been a up and down struggle to attract crowds and this year it's trying high tech to fight low attendance. the fair is still offering traditional attractions, such as rides, food, and of course animals. in recent years the fair has struggled, sometimes posting six figure losses, they even considered chance selling at times. the fair has offered free admission but drew disappointing crowds. this year they charged admission and added more attractions. >> i understand it was bigger

hands busy worrying about thunderstorms and parts of the state of california. we will talk about that but right now temperatures that are on the mild side. livermore 85 right now. 86 concord. those temperatures down a good five to ten degrees over where they were yesterday. more fog, cooler daytime highs and that's in to the weekend. just mildler. high clouds start to filter in tonight and tomorrow. they could bring in a chance of thunderstorms to the north and east of us. that's a real concern this time of year. just because it's dry and some of the higher terrain. the current majeure showing some of that moisture and what we look at how much water. i can tell you right now in santa barbara -- it's sending thunderstorms. going on in the kirkwood area. that is the moisture headed our way. as we go in to the bay area weekend, today was nice, little bit cooler but in to the weekend, this moisture will guess flung up by the high
