avenue. and they tried to make sense of his death. >> reporter: friends and family members placed flowers at the site where he died last night. >> he loved his family. lives right there. everyone knew him. everyone. so we don't know. this was a shock to us. >> it was around 9:30 when they walked from the home across the street to the apartment complex. there was a large group of people gathered here and two men got into an argument with the team. >> police arrested one man for the shooting near muck donald and first street. the second gunman is still at large. they are wearing a red sweatshirt and that's what prompted the argument. >> he moveed to make friend and the only mistake he made yesterday was to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and wear the wrong colors. >> colors can't play an actor in gang shootings.

>> the suspect has gang ties but they don't believe the victim did. >> reporter: the goal was to get a football scholarship. he was an offensive lineman for the kennedy high football team. the practice was canceled today. >> he was a pretty good kid. i am going to really miss tim. >> reporter: neighbors and friend came by to offer support of the young man who was well liked and too young to die. >> allie rasmus, channel 2 news. he is injured in a fang-related shooting in east san jose. it happened outside a gas station. investigators say the gunfire came when two groups of men met at an intersection. the 13-year-old boy and adult victim were wounded. both are expected to survive. police are still looking for suspects. a robbery at a grow house

in oakland turned deadly. it happened on seventh street and webster. >> tara moriarty was the force report. she explains how it unfolded. good afternoon, tara. >> reporter: business owners say they are shocked it happened in chinatown, two blocks from police headquarters. it is what is behind closed doors that the suspects were after. it is 100 marijuana plants that were part of the grow house operation. he is the one that pulled the trigger. three intruders forced their way into the house on seventh street and webster. two others ran off and they are described as asian. they are not sure if they are armed or not. there were documents inside the home showing that marijuana was grown for medicinal purposes. >> there were certain legal documents and we want to

confirm those as well. because you have paper work, doesn't mean it is legitimate. >> reporter: police called an interpreter. no word if charges will be filed in the case. they want to find out if there is a relationship between the caretaker and the intruders. they found the gun and a gun amonged to one of the suspects. one dog was killed in the gunfire and another dog survived. this is not the first time someone tried to break into the home. paul chambers will have more on that. i am tara moriarty. they search for answers in connection to the shooting spree at a wisconsin shikh temple. more on the alleged shooter and second person wanted for questioning. >> one person is dead after an early morning crash involving a sedan and two big rigs. it occurred on northbound 238

. more more than 100 responded at a warehouse and richards boulevard. the five alarm fire damaged warehouses by a supply company. the fire broke out before 2:00 this morning and investigators have not been able to get inside the building to start searching for the cause. there is an unconfirmed report that a firefighter may have been hurt. >> three firefighters were hurt at a carrie pair shop in campbell. it broke out last night at the amoco transmission shop. no one was inside at the time. firefighters were able to keep

flames from spreading to neighboring businesses despite the chemicals and fuels inside the repair shop. a lot of flammable things and you have a fuel source all built in and doesn't take much to make it go. >> at least two of the three injured firefighters are treated and released from the hospital. investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire. >> u.s. sailing officials concluded today that a deadly sailing accident during a race to the fair lawns was due in large part to the course that was set. five sailors died last april when the sailboat crashed on a rocky shore at the fair lawns. intruders pent review found the crews encountered larger than normal waves and the course ran through an area where are breaking waves were common. >> life vests and better communication between race officials and the boats could have boosted the sailor's
