and one at large. man is under arrest. this morning three men entered a home but only two made it out alive. the third suspect was shot and killed by the man who lived there. right now it is unclear if the homeowner will face charges. a dog was shot and killed in the home. we are learning more about the shooter who opened fire inside a sikh temple in wisconsin. the suspect is wade michael page. there are reports he was linked to white supremacist groups. he was discharged from the army a decade ago. 7 people were killed in the shooting, including wade michael page. three people remain in the hospital in critical condition, including the first police officer who arrived on the scene. back here in the bay area, members of the local sikh community share close ties with

the victim. ktvu's ann rubin is live at the sikh temple. >> reporter: that's right. many here knew the victims well. worshiping with them over the year. all day people of all faiths have been calling and stopping by to pay their respects. >> reporter: they came to offer a handshake and kind words. comforting the sikh community. >> we wanted to share our support to our brothers and sisters and we are with them at this time of sadness. >> reporter: they also have been the victims of violence. the two religions are often confused. >> after 9/11 -- >> reporter: at this point there is speculation about why they were targeted sunday. for the people at the san jose temple it hit close to home.

participate. 65,000 immigrants could benefit from president obama's action initiative according to the policy center. students immigrants under 30 will be able to apply for work permits without worries about the possibility of deportation. they are saying more needs to be done. >> the fact this is something that was announced is a step in the right direction but there is more that needs to happen. >> the work permits will cost $465. activists say applications won't be anticipated till august 15. stay lawmakers are considering a bill that would allocate more funding for spinal cord injury research. they showed some of the ways the money would be spent.
