and kept screaming. i was asleep. >> in the fire she lost several art pieces created by her late father. firefighters say it started on a balcony caused by electrical wiring. woman was arrested after she led chp on a chase and riched off the richmond-san rafael bridge. started before 2:00 a.m. when a officer saw a car weaving on highway 101. they tried to pull the cover over but kathryn tynes sped off. officers pursued her to the bridge where she pulled ovand jumped 20 feet below -- over and jumped 20 feet below. kathryn tynes was pulled out of the water and arrested for probation violation and other charges. shootest last night in oakland -- shooting last night in oakland left a woman dead

parts of alabama and the florida panhandle. as far as the hurricane warnings, this changed as well. all the areas shaded, this is the hurricane warning. rainfall will be on the order of 8-12-inches and peak storm surge if it happens with high tide that could be significant, 6-12 feet above normal tied levels. we will keep an eye on the track of tropical storm isaac and more coming up. another story, the petaluma nationals baseball team had another big day at the little league world series. they took on panama this morning. ktvu's cara liu followed the team and joins us live where the dream season has come to an end. what an exciting -- >> reporter: what an exciting run they have had here to pennsylvania. petaluma nationals got one final win today to end a

dozens of earthquakes hit southern california today. the earthquakes began about 10:00 a.m. near the mexican boarder. the largest was about 12:30

the mission in afghanistan. they closed 200 bases and transferred 300 others to local forces. the moves are in preparation to hand over security to afghan officials. last october nato was operating 800 bases. that number dropped to 300. the u.s. is drawing down forces from 103 last year to 68,000 by october. in china a bus crash killed 3 dozen people. a bus collided with a tanker. both vehicles burst into flames. the majority of passengers were asleep. three people did survive. in venezuela firefighters are struggling to put out a fire in a refinery. it started yesterday after an explosion damaging two hundred homes. 39 people were killed in the

home tomorrow after beating panama today. yesterday they played their hearts out but lost against tennessee. they will be honored next sunday with a parade in petaluma. chevron closed the last help center and victims of the chevron refinery fire must file claims now by phone. a lawsuit is forming and during a meeting yesterday, victims learned how they could join the suit. 18,000 individual claims have been filed so far. chevron will not comment on the potential lawsuit. the company has said safety is its first priority. gas prices continue to climb following the fire. a gallon of regular cost three dollars 76 on average across the u.s. that is a 7-cent jump during the past two weeks. in the bay area, san francisco

the session ends friday giving lawmakers a few more days to pass laws. they expect democrats to vote for a pension reform bill. he says lawmakers are still working out details with governor jerry brown. homeowners in san francisco will hold two more protests tomorrow. >> just like last week they will protest what they say are unfair evictions. the first protest is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. outside pnc bank. they promised a loan modification but issued another eviction notice. it is expected tomorrow at noon. they say they are being forced out so they can renovate buildings.
