forensic investigators have just arrived. this is a forensic area. a man was stabbed several times by new bridge street, a man has been rushed to the hospital where he is being treated. four people are being questioned by police. jeanine was there and she will be pack to give us an update from the scene in just about 30 minutes. vallejo police are looking for a man who shot a man right in front of city hall. he was described as an african- american man. he was driving a chevy suburban. the victim does not know the suspect but the two were arguing before the suspect opened fire. the suspect was shot and fell out of hits wheelchair trying to avoid the bullets.

they are investigating the 5th deadly shooting since may. we have more on the communities age doctor i reaction. >> reporter: he was holding what he thought was a real handgun but it turned out to be appellate fun a second man was also wounded. and the two officers involved are on standard paid leave. and the man who died, 23-year- old romero's friends gathered at a vigil. they were questioned while they were sitting in a white thunderbird and they signed a spotlight in the car, grabbed what he thought was a gun, turned towards the officers and mitt romney's mother said he

on camera and as you can see front -- in front of this home from the sheriff's department they are inside the home taking pictures trying to figure out what happened inside here. they tell me they see a lot of traffic going in and out of this house people in cars are pulling up and that has made them uneasy in the past. we do know police arrived at the home found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. he could not speak when officers arrived and we are told he lost a lot of blood. we don't know how serious his injuries are. police took them into a police car and may have driven them back into the station and right now they are questioning them. they are not calling those men suspects they just want information from them, a spanish translator was brought in because a lot of those men

incredibly good news. >> family members are showing signs he is optimistic. the lightning sparked fire has burned more than 41,000 acres since it began on august 15th. several homes have been destroyed and they are taking precautions in that area. 11 campers were evacuated because of a brush fire. it started in san gabriel canon and has burned 600 acres. they will be closed because of the fire and it is only 5% contained and the cause is still being investigated. police in vallejo are investigating the 5th deadly shooting since may. alex savage has the details on that and also has the details

on the community reaction, alex? >> this department is facing some criticism because the man who was shot and killed by police was holding an air soft pellet gun. both officers are on standard paid leave, a second man -- they gathered to remember the young man who was killed. 23-year-old mario was shot to death in front of his house. his family does not believe the shooting was justified. they tried to question two men sitting in a thunderbird. the officers shined a spotlight into the car and officers grabbed what they thought from his waistband and turned towards the officers. officers fired towards the car fearing for their safety. if anybody was witnessing the situation, the proper

temperatures are warming to just bit above the seasonal norm. and here is a look at some of the top stories, new this morning, police in east palo alto are investigating an overnight stabbing. a man was stabbed several times at the home of the 1,100 block of new bridge street and it happened at 3:30 this morning, four people are now being questioned. and a bizarre attack, the cab driver may face dui charges. the cab crashed into a gas meter at 3:20 this morning. ten people were evacuated from an apartment building and they have since been allowed to go home. and in charlotte north carolina in downtown charlotte. james tailor and others will be
