five. >> good evening. >> hello. i'm heather holmes. police are asking for help as they search for clues in the death of a homeless man. officers were called at about five this morning. when they arrived they found the victim with a head injury. a police spokesman said the area where the man was killed is full of potential witnesses. >> it's a pretty common residential, densely populated area. there are several complexes on whitten and residential homes and it's a common way for vehicular photograph kick pedestrians. >> reporter: authorities are still trying to determine the cause of death and haven't released the victim's name. in the south bay three separate fires at a park are shedding light on a growing problem. in just ten minutes yacht homeless say that they have no place to go. >> the civic center bart station was shut down and

evacuated this afternoon after an explosion on the tracks. a spokeswoman said the blast happened at about 1:30. she said it was sparked by a break over load on a train. officials say there was a loud noise, some smoke but no fire. >> it appears to be a system malfunction or overpowering in the third rail. >> market street was partly closed temporarily. nobody was injured. trains were delayed and the station was closed for about an hour. police in san francisco arrested a teen in connection with a deadly shooting yesterday. authorities say officers arrested the 17-year-old last night hours after the early morning shooting that left an 18-year-old dead. detectives say he was shot near lasalle avenue near hilltop park. the name of the suspect wasn't released. >> now to the desperate search that continues in the napa river for a man believed to have drowned. it's a story we have been

retired san francisco firefighter are now headed to nebraska where he was last seen. the 69-year-old was on a cross country amtrak trip when he disappeared. he was last seen an friday by a train conductor who said he appeared confused and didn't know where he was. family say that time is important because he needs medication. hazmat crews called to a home in san rafael after two people were burned by a chemical agent. it happened about noon at a home on quiet wood drive as paramedics tended to the victims authorities evacuated two homes as a precaution and told other residents to shelter in place. authorities are still trying to determine what chemicals spilled. >> some sort of chemical agent they were splashed onto their eyes and skin and they were transported. undetermined what that was. >> two children were at home at the time. they were not hurt. >> now to the continuing coverage on the civil unrest in

initial crash. thal media county sheriff is searching for clues in a deadly overnight shooting. the gun fire started just before 12:30 at an apartment complex in haywood. when police arrived they found a man with a gun shot wound to the chest. authorities haven't released his identity or information on any arrests. and two men and a teen were shot and wounded early this morning in fairfield. it happened just before one at an apartment complex on dana drive. they found two adult men and a 16-year-old boy hurt. they were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. police have made no arrests. anyone with any information is asked to call police. >> now to the continuing coverage of the suspicious fires in a san jose park. three more fires broke out in kelley park. matt keller live at the park

her way to school. in may a man was arrested and charged with murder based on dna allegedly found in his car. today's memorial started at 6 p.m. in morgan hill. they plan to pray and release balloons in her memory. a young redwood city man who went missing last month has been found. the family of eric hagler were worried. he had last been san been seen in san carlos. he was found safe. they didn't say where he was found or where he was during his absence. >> chicago schools will stay closed again tomorrow as striking teachers debate over a new agreement. they met to go over the proposal but never voted on it. the three year deal would offer minor races, some said they are not happy with the terms while others want more term to read it. the union though remains

. several people were arrested yesterday in new york city as activists get ready tomorrow to mark a year since the occupy wall street protests started. yesterday they made their way through the streets of lower manhattan where two dozen people were arrested. new york police say the charges

florida as well this week for fundraising trips. >> today the los angeles times is expanding on a previous report of sexual abuse with in the boy scouts. the paper said it did a more extensive review of 1600 private files from 1970 to 1991 and found that scout officials failed to report incidents of abuse to police in more than 500 cases and tried to conceal more than 100 of those cases. scout officials responded to the report saying members are currently required to report even suspicious of abuse directly to local authorities. >> the governor is talking of austerity measures asking for approval of proposition 30. he said that he ate a two day old tuna sandwhich. he said he is saving money but not replacing a stained rug he inherited from the former governor. proposition 30 would temporarily raise the sales tax by a half cent and increase

. organizers are reporting a huge success for if weekend's coastal clean up. the coastal commission said that more than 57,000 people

there is the overcast around pacifica, ocean beach, out toward the golden gate bridge with winds from around 15 to 25 miles an hour. temperatures this afternoon, they range from the lower 60's in san francisco and pacifica, santa rosa topped out 80 degrees and a few low 90s. fairfield -- these numbers about the same as yesterday. most spots cool. just a few degrees. for tonight. partly cloudy, coastal fog, it'll be cooler, extended we do warm up the numbers as we approach thursday and also into friday. no major heat in our forecast. high pressure still in command of the weather, somewhat but it'll begin to loose its grip starting today, tonight and tomorrow as this area of low pressure starts to approach northern california this will help deepen the marine layer, and bring in -- bring this is in. a cooling trend. temperatures tomorrow comes down about 3 to 6 degrees in most spots from today's highs

and the fog will be a factor for the morning more. the forecast model, some of the overcast between now and 7:00 tomorrow morning. you see the clouds hugging the coast, quite a bit of overcast, around the bay. this model not showing it, we have been dealing overcast out there. mid40s to the mid50s. into the afternoon the clouds go back to near the shoreline. the patchy fog for the beaches, inland sub, yellow links up to the 70's. orange ins 80's. warmest low cases on track to reach the mid80's for monday afternoon. santa rosa 77, fairfield a bit breezy, winds out of the southwest at 25, oakland in the upper 60's and over the hills not talking about triple digits, warmest locations around 84 to 85. san jose -- 74, the clouds in the morning, temperatures in the low 50s. not much of a recovery.
