will have a complete update in the traffic world, here is pam. a man is suspected of trying to kidnap three young men. the incident happened in fremont and ended in a crash in union city. claudine wong is right where this ordeal all started, good morning claudine. police are describing a terrifying chain of events. it led to a police chase and led to a suspect. we are here in fremont because this is where police say it all began. three young men were walking down this treat when a in a red truck began chasing him and trying to get him into his vehicle. we don't know what happened but he aggressively pursued three young men a block away from

that area. two young men were able to track down an officer to get help for their friend. >> the boys saw the pickup truck about a block away. they pointed out the vehicle to the officers. the officers attempted to do a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. >> reporter: police say at first it looked like it was going to stop but the chase ended in dakota road but even then that suspect tried to escape. >> a short pursuit ensued and when officers caught the suspect, they were able to catch the suspect the canine bit him and they tackled i am had. >> he was taken to the hospital for injuries he suffered from. and we are trying to get more information on who the suspect

the site. he ordered the killings of journalists chons ski bailey -- chauncey bailey and two other men. after that the department of corrections launched their own investigation. he allegedly murdered his wife and cooked her. he told police he stuffed the body into a drum of boiling water and cooked it for four days. he was there in a wheelchair when he learned he was a suspect. his wife's body was never found. a disabled woman was beaten by the 11-year-old son who has died. according to the sacramento bee, her death was not caused by the beating. the woman's son was arrested on assault and elder care charges.

put this on the map if we can. that red indicater you see is the fire that pam just mentioned and it has now gone to 2 alarm. so the fire pam mentioned in san jose a residential structure near the west capital expressway has now gone to 2 alarms and they have more fire crews on the way and it is slightly visible from highway 87. now we had the camera pointing down on highway 87 and we don't see anything so that could be a good sign but we will let you know. the east shore freeway looks good heading out to the mcarthur maze. it looks like they have picked it up and traffic is moving well again. let's go to the toll plaza, that is doing well into san francisco. normally we have a camera

pointed on 280 but we don't see any smoke rising into the sky so that could be a good sign. let's go to steve. a lot of 70s and areas that have been rather warm to hot, i will tell you there was unplea ofable rain. -- unbelievable rain. we are seeing some cooler temperatures and a brisk westerly breeze from fso even out to travis and stockton so temperatures below normal, it seems there are hit and miss but there are a few pockets where it is 6:00 or 7:00. temperatures around 83 and we are not in that category. 46 napa airport and also in sonoma, i saw that as well. also 48 out at bethel, a couple

of 80s are trying to show up but again the pattern is blocked so coming underneath that is low. eventually that will move over us sunday and monday, subtle dips i -- differences, it is close to yesterday's reading so i don't think it changed very much. no big changes thursday, it does look warmer inland and i don't think the fog is going anywhere. it will regroup the fog and sunday and monday do look cooler. you can get a head start on this season's toys starting today. and something on the golden gate bridge will disappear, how it will affect everyone crossing the span.

side of your screen, just under the 880 logo, there is traffic officer using cones. you can see westbound traffic looks good coming into san francisco with no major delays and if you are driving into san jose, the commute looks good and there is a structure fire on a nearby street and it is not using anything, let's go to steve. it's not a very strong pattern as far as the lows are concerned but the coast has ushered in a sea breeze and it has actually moved north, up off the pacific northwest and the cooling tips. there are signs of a little bit warmer pattern but that will be inland. it's cold out there, napa airport, sonoma, lots of 50s
