against him in a battle. lancaster's ex-wife and two law enforcement officers claims a sheriff's deputy and pleasanton police officer both disclosed confidential information to his ex-wife so she could use it against him in a custody battle for their two children. any charges have been dropped. >> i think it is horrible for them to give her information to use in a custody dispute. >> he took leave from his job with alameda sheriff's department. she rushed to the scene for arson and now that same woman is under arrest for setting fires in a san jose neighborhood. neighbors were telling you more about the suspect in the arson

case? >> reporter: we were at the scene where most of the fires were set. this was a place where a woman was setting a fire where it led to her arrest. it has been reported she lives in the neighborhood and we discovered she lives in the apartment complex, in fact very close to the crime scene. there are still areas where numerous areas were set fire to but saturday night during a stake out, arson investigators say they saw 52-year-old woman set fire to a garbage can and they arrested her. she lives 50 feet from both of the fires. her neighbors asked them not to show them on camera because they are afraid of her. >> we suspected it was always a neighbor and she was always very concerned. >> reporter: looking back now what are her actions you think about now? >> she was always the first

person out there. >> reporter: she was release on bail and nobody answered and as we waited, somebody locked the door and set the dead bolt. she and along time partner put on fireworks shows and according to public reports were well-known for the show. the arson fires were ignited with matches. for some residents the arrests do not end all the fear. >> still not totally at ease. >> not until they tell us she did all of them, you know. >> reporter: she was arrested on one count of arson and they were trying to see if they can connect her to the other ten cases. ktvu channel 2 morningnews ktvu channel 2 news. the fire was reported around 4:45 yesterday afternoon

at a vacant house on a street. it is just a few blocks and firefighters found the interior which led them to believe waters -- squatters had broken into the house. they sent one man into the hospital. it happened on 2 th street and tell -- 2 th street and telegraph -- 28th street and telegraph avenue. he appeared to be conscious and no word on any arrests. they will be returned to the bay area to face charges in the case of a woman who was stabbed to death inside her home. he waived extradition today. prosecutors have not decided when to bring him back to california. his wife faces a fugitive from justice which keeps him pending extradition. he was driving a subaru taken from the victim's home. a computer belonging to the

woman accused of murdering michelle le showed hundreds of searches for her name. it game in the trial of 2 -year-old giselle esteban. they say giselle esteban killed michelle le and dumped her body in a remote area near sunole. it also showed searches for ways to injure or kill somebody without getting caught. in her opening statement, her attorney said her client did not plan to kill her, but rather acted in the heat of passion. sheriff ross mirkarimi is back on the job full-time after pleading guilty in a domestic violence case. live in san francisco with how day one is going, rob? >> reporter: seven months after his suspension, sheriff ross mirkarimi is back at work but his political problems are far from over. sheriff ross mirkarimi returned to city hall this morning. >> are you ready?

>> i am ready. >> reporter: sheriff ross mirkarimi's past is loaded with obstacle. there is talk of a campaign to recall him. >> i always expected that may be the case but to me what is important is moving forward, mending fences and i think we should allow civility to be the crime area objective. >> reporter: i think they should wait until the election to have a recall. mayor ed lee would not discuss it. >> reporter: they have not met since he was suspended and they will have to find a way to work together. they agreed sheriff ross mirkarimi should not supervise any programs with domestic violence while he serves a three year probation. >> we need to make sure our public trusts and understands our leadership in these domestic violence programs. >> naturally i take everything step by step and case-by-case.

morning while the bomb squad investigated and they also evacuated a nearby childcare center and rerouted the muni area. they rerouted the package and found out it was not dangerous. police gave the all clear this morning. they are investigating a shooting in an area between pittsburgh and antioch that left two people dead. this happened on beau couldn't none road -- buchanan road and they found a man and woman who had been -- who had been shot. there is no information on who shot them. there is information on a man who had been shot, he was hit in the arm after a wedding. the victim was found with a crowd of wedding gifts fathered around him and police do not yet have a suspect. with election day now three weeks away there is a hotline for san francisco residents to call if they suspect voter fraud. now the city of department's
