morning news. 6:03 an alleged carjacker was involved in a high speed crash. now police say the suspect was riding in this suv which smashed into a tree outside of a restaurant in pittsburgh. a man and woman assaulted and carjacked two people right outside hours earlier. the suspect reportedly crashed that stolen car and then according to police jumped into the suv which also crashed. a disturbing call, occupied violence gets ready to mark one of their anniversaries. joining us live to tell us about some flyers and why it is concerning the police and some residents, what is going on, tara. one year ago, they refused

is an overturned vehicle and there is a delay at the scene as people are beginning to slow to look at it. westbound is not all as bad as we thought it might be but if you do take the bridge you will see brake lights. again the overturned vehicle is westbound and back here metering lights are on the traffic and they are packed up for a 15 minute delay. they have no major issues on 101 and there is slowing approaching 880. let's go to steve. there is not much of a breeze here. some higher elevations 30 to 50 out to the valley as well. partly cloudy skies, mostly cloudy skies, some showers in the area looks like they are staying north so far. i tell you temperatures are on the mild side, 50s for some, 60s for others. if that wind picks up, you can see some of that very warm air

mass, we even have a fire weather warning out from vacaville, keep an eye on things, some higher elevations are out to the north and again that is up around 2500 feet. around 20 to 25 out to the valley as well. otherwisit's going to be sunny and i don't think there could be any hiccups. coast bay and inland. if you want to head to the coast, it looks ideal over there as well. it means warm temperatures at least for one day. by tomorrow, we have calm conditions, 70s and 80s and 90s with a cooling trend and a big cooling trend takes us into the weekend. >> there is some good news about the pace of the housing recovery. construction is up 15% in september, that is the biggest increase since july of 2008. there are concerns about inflation here in the bay area, u.s. bureau of labor statistics

promising a commitment to afghanistan through 2024 and it's not clear how many troops will be needed to meet the terms of that commitment. last week's damage is estimated to be more than $7 million. friday's fire damaged three buildings including a wine bar and the popular squat and gobble restaurant. the cause of the fire is still under investigation but fire officials say it does not appear to be suspicious. a new report shows the golden state warriors move will be a huge move to the city. it will be at piers 30 and 32 and the project would generate $54 million in annual revenues and create 5,000 temporary jobs but neighbors in the area worry it will increase traffic and

this accident was triggered by rough conditions out on the bay. strong winds close to 30 miles per hour and it caused a strong current and it eventually drifted several miles out to sea. last night they towed it back to headquarters which is at pier 80 in san francisco. the damaged boat is still in the water but it will be pulled out to be inspected. here is video as oracle boats went end over end yesterday afternoon. the $8 million cata moran capsized during a training run on the bay. they all escaped with just minor bumps and bruises. the capsized boat was caught by a strong tide and it drifted, it took several hours for a crew member to tow the boat back in.

the man's identity and why authorities believe he may be the missing man from santa fe. >> reporter: it confirms that the victim eric dean garcia may have been the victim of a homicide. he was last seen leaving a party in san jose. he told people he would be right back and never returned. the 1985 harley davidson is still missing. his family has been praying for his safe return and now they say they are grieving and when it comes to justice they will never give up. plans for garcia's funeral are still being finalized. ann rubin, ktvu channel 2 morning news. a morgan hill mother is accused of abandoning her daughter claims it was a

misunderstanding. she said she left her daughter in the store with her boyfriend and broke up with him when she learned the child had been left behind. she said she also suffers from schizophrenia and by polar problems and said she was not taking her medication when the incident occurred. now police say this was an arson fire aimed at hiding the murders of five people. their bodies were found just hours ago. the victims were four women and one man. it is not clear how they died but all of them suffered some kind of trauma. there will be autopsies performed later today. back here at home they are investigating flyers encourage being violence against occupied oakland protesters. it has been one year since they cleared out their occupying encampment at city hall. we will go live to oakland and tell you how these flyers are

still no sign of a missing bay point man who has dementia. he disappeared saturday. now he has wandered off before, but his family usually finds him quickly. this time they couldn't find him and report him missing on -- reported his missing since monday. he has gray hair, blue eyes and walks with a limp. this is on the face of the radar tower in santa clara county. the open space district is looking at two options that allows five years to raise enough money for needed renovations. one is at a cost of 41 $4,000 and the other would erect a fence around the tower which would cost $75,000. let's see what is happening with the toll plaza. sal? it is backed up for a 50
