the san diego police sergeant. watch what he does. >> what? >> all this is in front of 50 or so onlookers at the scene. now the sergeant is on paid leave and is facing an internal investigation. >> her husband was already trying to restrain her when the cop put his hand on her hair. you could see the husband put his hand on the cop's wrist. >> why was she so frantic to get back in the house? >> she's a second grade teacher. she spoke with kgtv about the incident. >> when i got there, it was just unimaginable. the total house was on fire. i hadn't seen my husband yet. >> she should have never swung at the cop, but him pulling her by the hair. >> you also need to keep in mind the emotion she's feeling at this moment. >> i had tunnel vision when i got there. i wasn't aware of my surroundings. if someone is grabbing you and your emotions are to the max, i

was trying to defend myself. >> apparently back in may, a civil jury concluded the sergeant used unreasonable force in a violent confrontation with a man who was distributing water to homeless people. >> sounds like this guy needs to reveal his job description. >> we reached out to the san diego police department on this, but didn't hear back. the woman is in the process of hiring an attorney and may go forward with some sort of lawsuit. music can be very powerful. in this case, music has cured blindness. ♪ we saw this story on "the daily mail." this is 66-year-old myra. she's in the middle singing like a canary. but she suffers from a condition called focal distonia, which causes the muscles in her eyes

to spasm. >> they just don't open. the only time they actually do open really wide for any prolonged lengths of time is when i'm actually singing. >> her eyes are closed all the time? >> yes, and it's painful. she said it feels like there's sand in her eyes all the time. doctors think that the distraction of singing causes the muscles to kind of forget the condition and gives her a little bit of relief. >> i wonder what the strain on her voice is to sing constantly to relieve the pain. >> well, she doesn't sing constantly. she goes through life basically as a blind woman until she goes to choir practice, and that's a bit of comfort for her. this condition has affected her so bad she lost her career. she can't drive. she walks with a cane. here when you see her sing, you'd never know. you'd never know any of that. ♪

>> i have a couple of weather videos. this one shows a hailstorm. this video was uploaded to the youtube channel of craig in south africa. it looked like it came from a security camera. it starts with the view of a pool area. it looks like it might be raining. >> nice pool. >> then you see some splashing in the water. all of the sudden -- >> oh. >> it gets really intense because hail starts dropping. but not just any hail. look at the size of those hail balls. >> whoa, that was a big piece right there. >> good thing you weren't throughout on a raft. it happened within seconds. >> looks like the pool is boiling. >> it gets really, really intense. it went from 0 to 60 in no time. this second video is from spain. they had really heavy rainfall over the weekend.

>> it's tuesday and somebody's about to win an ipad. there was an attempted kidnapping outside of a bar in aurora, colorado, and it was caught on tape. this video comes to us from "the denver channel." you won't believe what happened to this woman. she's leaving this bar call pitchers. it's around 11:00 at night. up comes this white car where she says the driver asked her for directions to colorado springs. if you notice, there's a man getting out of the passenger side of the car. the woman says the man put a towel with some kind of chemical over her head. she knocked him down, and she runs inside back into the bar while the man jumps into the car and they get away. this happened in aurora. it has striking similarities to another case that happened on memorial day just 20 minutes away in the town of westminster where a woman says a man with similar build, similar looks tried to abduct her on a path with a towel. she got away as well. >> any word on whether those two

attempts were connected? >> well, aurora police say it could be a copy cat, but here's the thing. westminster police say any information anybody has is important because westminster police believe the attacker in that park incident is related t theessica ridgeway muer. >>okn, this scary, especially for us women because we do find ourselves on occasion walking to our cars by ourselves. if someone does go up to you to ask for directions, you don't think someone is going to put a towel over your face to try to take you and kidnap you. >> and it's spooky because the guy was obviously waiting in that parking lot for who knows how long for someone to walk out by herself so he could attempt this. it's a cannon versus a car. >> where does one get a cannon? >> google. >> why a cannon versus a car? see why next.

>> tisha drives. it's wild to see. she gets herself in her vehicle. she's got it rigged up with a couple special alterations. there's a knob on the steering wheel to help her turn. she has buttons on her headrest that activate the wipers and turn signals. watch when she starts driving. first, i was really impressed she's able to get in and buckle her seat belt alone. impressive. wait until you see when she starts actually driving. everything just appears to be a struggle for her, but i guess it's not because she's learned how to do these things. she seems comfortable. here she goes. she puts it in gear and starts driving like it's nobody's business. i bet she drives a lot better than people out there who are driving with two arms, two legs, and a cell phone in their hand and texting. >> in the description of the video, she said some people may be concerned about me driving with my feet, it's not safe,

it's not okay. she said, just so you know, i wasn't given my license. i worked for it. 20 hours of driving lessons with multiple adaptations. >> i love she does these videos. it answers so many questions. the walking dead just debuted its third season on amc and it's close to halloween, so it's time for some brain cake. >> what's "the walking dead" about? >> it's like most zombie shows. the world has been decimated by zombies. the zombies are after the humans because they want their brains. hence, it's time for zombie cake. >> first, you're going to bake any cake of your choice. today we baked a vanilla one, in a half ball pan. >> they cut out the middle to make it like the shape of a brain. then they put it together. how do you make it look like the brain matter with all the grooves? they show it. >> we're going to use fon dit to

create the brain matter. >> what they do is take it and soften it up because you have to work with it. then they put just a little bit of red dye in there to make it pink like a brain. >> that's like that firm type of icing, right? >> you see it all over wedding cakes all the time. then they roll it out. then they start making the brain. >> make sure you really take your time with this step, making it symmetrical on both sides. >> they want to put blood on it, so they thicken up some cherry juice with corn starch. they also put in a knife to make it look really realistic. that's going to do it for us here at "right this minute." we'll see you next time.
