first pitch will be just after 5:00. the rain has tapered off now. today we're seeing a mix of cloudy and sunny skies for the first part of the day. this afternoon and evening, the forecast is for isolated showers throughout the bay area. tomorrow more scattered showers are expected for the game at at&t park. steve paulson will have the full forecast coming up. a rare tornado caused some damage north of sacramento. a funnel cloud touched down around 3:15 yesterday afternoon. you see it here. yuba city in sutter county. this is video of the storm, the twister downed trees and power lines. no one was hurt. later today, a storm survey team will be out here -- out there. the first storm of the season brought heavy snow to higher elevations. there are reports up to 30 inches in some locations in the sierra. the snow caused a lot of problems on the roads. chain restrictions were in place yesterday and this morning but they've now been lifted in most areas and again

the screen is 7.9 inches compared to the 9.2. it features face time in hd camera and ten hours of battery life. but the real shocker -- shocker at the event was apple also unveiled the fourth generation ipad that has a new chip and a much faster performance than the ipad introduced just six months ago. >> they did say a lot of ipads in the generation. but then again, everyone wants to buy the new thing. >> reporter: the fourth ipad jeneration starts at $499. now, besides the ipad announcement. apple unveiled a mac book and a mac mini and a new i-mac.

four people accused of carrying out a deadly rampage are behind bars this morning. the s.w.a.t. team showed up at 13th and 19th. this is new information on a story breaking on "mornings on 2." alex savidge joins us live from oakland police headquarters. >> reporter: good afternoon. this was a carefully coordinated operation to execute arrest warrants. a sergeant here at headquarters

told me four people were arrested. oakland s.w.a.t. officers descended on this house at 13th avenue and east 20th street just after 5:00 this morning. we watched as several people were taken into custody. at the exact same time, fremont, union city, san leandro were all serving high risk warrants. police believe they were all involved in this deadly shooting in late january. four people hit by gunfire outside a birthday party. one of them, 20-year-old jordan chitt died from his injuries. this is a tribute web page set up by his friends. investigators say the exact motive for the killing is being investigated. >> gang activity is one possible lead and that is partially what has led us to the four arrests this morning. >> reporter: oakland police spent the morning here interviewing people at this home and collecting evidence

inside. one man here told me he didn't want to talk on camera about the early-morning raid. sergeant chris bolton says police came in with a lot of many power to make sure nothing went wrong. our objective when we go into these situations is officer safety, innocent bystander safety as well as suspect safety. >> reporter: police are not releasing the names of the four arrested. but this -- but they did have probable cause warrants signed by a judge. police are still looking for one more person who was not captured. none of the people today have been charged with that deadly shooting. alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. governor jerry brown is offering help to the troubled oakland police department. on sunday the pastor at the gospel church toward brown that

they were under siege from gunfire and he asked the governor for help. brown said he's considering asking the highway patrol to step up p troll to help. police announced a $10,000 reward leading to the arrest for the unsolved killings of a man and his pregnant girlfriend. this was on september 6th. police say the couple was targeted and neighbors saw two running from the scene. police say there were four victims in the killings because his girlfriend was pregnant with twins. the alameda sheriff's department will release new details about the woman found dead after a castro house fire. the woman's body was discovered early last thursday. investigators later said her death and the fire are

suspicious. the home is owned by a retired san francisco firefighter but he's not considered a suspect in this case. jury deliberations continue today in the trial of giselle esteban accused of killing east bay nursing student michelle le. prosecutors say esteban killed le last year because esteban thought le was having an affair with her boyfriend. her attorney said esteban acted in the heat of passion and is guilty of manslaughter, but not murder. new information about another controversy involving pg&e pipeline safety. according to "the chronicle" pg&e said pipelines in the east bay and san jose are safe without proof of inspections. about four and a half miles of gas pipelines. the pipes were at risk of

corrosion failure. pg&e blames fault yet record- keeping for the oversight. nurses at stutter hospital are expected to walk off the job, in alameda, contra costa and so lawn know counties. union leaders say sutter wants to -- solano counties. union leaders say sutter wants to cut their sick time and striking nurses could be locked out for several days. a 29-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness over the weekend gave birth in the lobby of the santa cruz lobby jail. the baby was delivered on water street. the woman was being released and escorted to the hospital.

thunderstorms. if you are in the sun, it's not bad. temperatures on the coast, 60. in the cloud cover, it can be a little on the chilly side. a lot of mostly cloudy skies, partly cloudies. we'll throw in showers. clearing on thursday, then it looks friday, saturday, sunday with your weekend always in view. it does look nice. you have to watch out for ground fog. some cold lows i think are on the way. >> really? >> yeah. 43 in santa rosa. >> all right. something to watch out for. the cupertino city council is working a new strategy to get rid of geese in memorial park. the city leaders are concerned about the mess that 250 geese are leaving behind. they considered a number of options at a meeting and are moving forward on specially trained herding dogs. the dogs will attempt to herd the geese which will force the geese away from the park.

they plan to bring the dogs to the park in the spring and then summer next year. santa clara supervisors are expected to take a big step forward on a bag ban. they will prepare a report on this and then the ordinance would apply to plastic and paper bags in unincorporated parts of the county starting next april. but there would be exceptions for paper bags. one of the best known store chains in the bay area is going green. we'll tell you why it is a day for people watching facebook stock. ?o?ooooóññ

stocks have been sliding today. big named companies like dupont, u.p.s., reported week quart terly earnings and lowered their forecast for the rest of the year. the dow is down 210. the nasdaq down 14. s&p down 16. well, facebook will report earnings after today's closing bell. the stock is currently up slightly at $19.50.

that's about half of its initial public offering price. its online advertising google reported disappointing earnings and that has some disappointing earning companies thinking facebook may be in there as well. amazon is denying claims by a member of "anonymous" that he or she is responsible for the cloud outage. this hurt people shopping on the online retailer. amazon said it is still looking for the actual class and it's not clear if all storage is restored yet. ikea is announcing its plan for completely green energy. in the next ten years. ikea will rely on wind and solar energy to power all ikea stores and buildings around the world.
