coliseum. now let's go back to the desk. we're tracking developing news where police are looking for two suspect who fired at an officer. tara moriarty is live with the latest on a manhunt to find the suspects. >> reporter: several inspectors were combing over a car that was parked in the middle of the streets here. it had two bullet holes on the side of it. one of them on the driver side. the reason it's such significance to officers, it's under cover police vehicle. here's what we're know, around 1:30 this morning the undercover sergeant was in plain clothes. he noticed that a car looks suspicious, he ran the license plate and all of a sudden people started firing at him. the car ended up several blocks

away. the sergeant was able to detain one woman. officers say it's unknown why the suspects shot at the sergeant. >> he wasn't injured thankfully. >> how many shots they fired at the officer? >> we don't know specifically. i can see two rounds. >> reporter: the suspect's car was parked down the street here on bryant street. it was just towed away. around the corner here on 2rd is where -- 23rd is where the suspect dropped the gun. a woman has been taken to mission station and other two male suspects are still on the loose. we'll tell you what those suspects left behind that may provide some clues to who they are. we are following a developing situation in san jose. two women are in custody.

the shooting was reported at 2:45. one person was rushed to the hospital but this victim's condition is still unknown now. janeane is on the scene and will have more details. giants fans getting ready for game two of the world series after witnessing witnessing baseball history at at&t park. >> sandoval, that hits the wall. >> pablo sandoval became just the fourth player in major league history to hit three home runs in a world series game. it led giants to 8-3 victory in last night's world series opener. >> i still can't believe it man. i was thinking being this situation three homers in one game. >> sandoval hit solo home run in the first inning.

match. a colorado teenager suspected of kidnapping and killing jessica ridgeway will be in court in morning. the 17-year-old was arrested tuesday night at his home. jessica was found dead about 2 weeks ago. the teenager suspected in jessica's death is also a suspect another attempted abduction. a 19-year-old man is facing charges in the abduction of his wife and two young children. grigoriy bukhantsov was arrested, he killed his sister- in-law and 2-year-old daughter and son. investigators say the suspect had a strange relationship with his family. election 2012 news, today president obama continues his marathon campaign trip crisscrossing the country with a quick stop over in chicago to take part in early voting.

cities in ohio. a new associate poll romney erased pram 16 point advantage among women. this morning microsoft will officially unveil its newest version of its operating system. ceo steve ballmer will explain the overhaul of the software. ballmer says the launch will make microsoft part of the important screen in people's lives, including pcs, tablets and smartphones and television. company that's buy back electronic devices say the number of ipad trade in request jumped more than 700%. the price for a new ipad 3, that is just 3 months old, down to about half what owners paid. san francisco police are warning giants fans against buying tickets from scalpers. it is illegal and police say the tickets maybe counter fit.

warmer tonight than it was last night. rain is moving out, low clouds drizzle still in place. all signs point towards a little bit warmer weather. the weekend could get some upper 70s. we do have a little bit of drizzle around. partly sunny, kind of muggy later on today, higher humidity in the mix. you can see radar doesn't pick up everything but it is showing shom in the light drizzle. more so closer to the radar. cloud and rain forecast, you can see it doesn't last long through 7:00 and there's 9:00 and by noon it's gone. by tomorrow, we'll have better can bees. 50s on the tempts. yesterday we had low 40s. we're looking good though. all the signs takes the next system away. sun and clouds after that

a 9-year-old greenbrae man who was shot is now being sued by the burglary suspect. police say 31-year-old samuel cutrufelli broke into jay leone home. the incident let to a shootout that left both men injured. cutrufelli is now facing murder charges. cutrufelli lawsuit claims he shot him. a memorial will be held today for a union city teacher who died earlier this month.

chris ryan body was found in san mateo county. the cause of his death is still under investigation. today's memorial is at 3:45. there are surprising results from a new study about california day care centers and a chemical that can cause cancer. uc berkeley researchers say 90% in the state receive safety guidelines formaldehyde. the battle over offering free muni rides to low income youth is on the rise again. the money must be used to increase transit ridership. supervisor david campos say the plan was approved on the condition that money could be found.
