the trend is to take temperatures up. start that with more likely friday into saturday. showing up saratoga, santa cruz mountains. also around oakland and we have reports of some areas still getting the drizzle. 50s on the temperatures. p 10 to 12 degrees lower. you can see where the storm track is going. it's heading north and once we get the cloud and -- get the county over with, temperatures will -- get the cloud cover over with, temperatures will warm up. upper 70s for some. warmer weather will take us into next week. but wednesday, rain.

overnight a woman was shot and injured at a popular strip club in san jose. janine de la vega has more about why this shooting was so unusual. >> reporter: police had two women in custody. the victim was also a female. i'm speaking to a few officers and they say it's very rare to

will make the -- the highway patrol is going to vote oakland and stockton will make the -- we'll put in patrol cars to work in the neighborhoods with close collaboration with the police chief. >> what about in the long-term? what can be done? they are calling a state of emergency in oakland right now. a lot of people don't feel safe. >> i've lived here and i -- in 1992, the murder rate went up to 192. you have to have police target where the dope dealers are, where they are on the corners and they have to be aggressive within the constitution and they are more concerned with blaming what the police problem is rather than encouraging them

to risk their lives. you have to investigate, you have to have a good crime lab, but you have to target the crews. oakland has crews the pipe. and then you have the shootings among the gang members and they fight for their positions. no doubt manpower is one of these strategies. you need leaders and then the men and women from the police department. >> what is keeping that from happening? >> ask that of the chief and the city -- and the city manager and mayor. >> at the end of the day, it's at the top and they have to be there 24/7 because we are in a state of real challenge in oakland and they just gotta get on it. let's talk again to prop 30. i know you are on a big swing

$835. pay raise and pay for the -- pay for the ordinary park. two week for the lows two months ago. >> i'm governor of the state. >> right. >> i'm in charge of the money that comes into the state coffers. i'm cutting as much as i can. what i'm telling, i -- telling, you i cannot let any more prisoners out. number two, we have certain limits. arnold schwarzenegger made cuts in medi-cal that have not gone into effect because the federal government or advocates sue us, we're in the 9th circuit court of appeal trying to enforce arnold's cuts. it's a complex budget.
