condition. shot in the face and twice in the abdomen. the friend drove him to sf general where the car was parked at the emergency drop off for more than two hours. it was just towed away. police were guarding it because it is considered part of a crime scene. doctors found two types of live bullets in the victims pocket. investigators are trying to figure out if the victim was one of the shooters this morning. this all unfolded on sixth and stevenson in the middle of the street. around 20 minutes until 2:00 this morning. police say there was a shootout, two different types of bullets found at the scene belonging to a nine millimeter and 38 caliber. the 38 cool pers were found in the victims pocket later and nine millimeters in his body. at this point we don't have a motive for the shooting. the suspect drove up a in a teal green ford explorer. investigators are look bag a possibility that this shooting is connected to another shooting that happened a half a block away from there two days

oakland police report no major problems for last nights rally. >> violators will be subject to arrest and may result in this demonstration being declared an unlawful assembly. >> officers kept watch over 175 protestors who marched through downtown oakland. the group was mostly peaceful. stark contrast from a year ago. >> this is just a sledge hammer to keep everyone here who is protesting and occupying safe. >> police did make two arrests. one protestor tossed a rock that hit an officer in the chest. that officer was not hurt. a second person was arrested for obstructing an officer at a narcotics arrest. olson was in a wheelchair and wore a safety helmet last

night. he still has trouble with his speech but wanted to join in the anniversary rally to hold police accountable for their actions. within a few hours the alameda county sheriff is expected to release more information about an arrest in last weeks brutal killing of a castro valley woman. 58-year-old barbara was found beaten in her house. she was brutal beaten, robbed, and her home was set on fire. she lived with her boyfriend who is a retired san francisco firefighter. he is not a suspect in the case. more details will be announced at 10:00 this morning. we know the name of the teenager who's body was found along the san mateo coast. the girl's body was discovered on sunday. investigators are identifying her as 16-year-old cassie cue.

well. if you are driving on interstate 880 the traffic here does look good in both directions. no trouble as you drive up to the downtown oakland area. and then san jose northbound 280 traffic that looks good getting up to highway 17. it just turned 4:37 let's go to steve. we are off to detroit. it looks good for game three. if it will be chilly highs in the 40s, lows in the 30s. i think after saturday, sunday we'll have to keep an eye on things. everything looks good for saturday. for us everything is looking good for saturday here as well. temperatures will be warming up. the storm track jet stream is going north and it looks like it will stay there until next wednesday. there has been a little northerly breeze for some especially out toward stockton and vacaville. there is cold lows this morning. the low clouds are gone but the clear skies are there. the end result will be warmer weather moves in. that will begin today and takes us into the weekend. 40s for temperatures.

welcome back to ktvu channel 2 morning news. it's 4:52. hurricane sandy losing some of its power but still pounding the central bahamas. the storm is blamed for at least 11 deaths in cuba where iter to the roof off homes and damaged tomato and coffee crops. at least ten people died in parts of the caribbean. it's east of the bahamas and moving about 13 miles an hour. florida and georgia are already feeling some of the effects of the storm but the full wrath is expected near new

needed medical attention. none of the injuries appear to be life threatening. let's take a quick look at traffic. how sit looking? >> it looks pretty good, guys. this mornings commute is doing pretty well if you are driving in san francisco northbound 101 traffic looks good approaching the 80 split with no major problems. also if you are driving to the 880 freeway in oakland that is a nice drive down into oakland. and this morning if you are driving on the peninsula this is a look at the road sensors showing us a pretty good view. 101 and 280 off to a decent start and no major problems right now reported on the westbound san mateo bridge. now let's go to steve. let's talk about sandy. hurricane sandy. now beginning to move north. one forecast model continues to take most of the energy out to sea but a majority of those take it right towards the peninsula and i've seen projections of 13 inches of rain for new jersey, parts of
