there's a lot of different types of players on this team. >> we were talk being that trophy, do you guys remember how many pictures were taken with this thing? was it the season ticket holders got the first crack at ate, it traveled around the bay and people took photos. >> there is matt cain who maybe had the highlights of the regular season with the perfect game. they toured that trophy all over the bay area because it was the first for san francisco. >> i love sergio romo. producer christina and i sit in the newsroom, watch these games infectious. it makes me so happy to see a guy who is not afraid to let it go. yes. he is awesome. and he does not play it cool. >> he is a humble guy. >> he is from california, too, grew autopsy dodger fan and he has well converted for now.
12:01 pm
>> you guys hit it right on the head. he is a great guy. sergio romo, one of the interesting personalities on this team. meantime, let's go to fred inglis. >> i know this cannot get old. there were so many players. a lot of these players that won this world series were not on the 2010 team. so this is new to a lot players here. >> that's the good thing about this team. it's home grown, most of them. we'll see them back, most of them. >> reporter: your feels as you went through. was there a -- your feelings as you went through? was there a different vibe? >> well, you know, this is something that we have gone through, and we had a feeling that we would over come. that was the ceo y baer. >> and marco scutaro. >> you saw marco scutaro's little guy already with

baseball bat? >> yes. he has been indoctrinated at an early age. he cannot be more than two. he has a good swing and a good batting coach as well. there is barry zito and with a relatively new wife. a lot of peoplecredited his success to being newlywed. to argue th the success there. he has15 wins during the year. >> what a story lincecum has been. he came backwa, ghts out from the bullpen. peleope ersayingmaybe that may be the newest role. >> i'm not understanding, what e they doing? crossing back? >> yes, they are going t the d of the bl turning right in front of thmarket street, all the peopleow d there can see them. they a greng down to the end maanng a-t uurn so that people at the end of the parade can e everybody. >>reis aubrey huff with

oriented, and they are baseball smart. game 1, the detroit tigers were on their heels. >> that's true. san francisco has developed into a baseball town. the 49ers owned this place in the eighties and nineties. now you have to say the giants, you know. >> i heard someone call in. i don't know if it was a compliment or not, but, you know how the red sox won and then they won another one shortly thereafter. now, you have the same kind of rabid fans that come to games. everything that the giants touch, when it comes to fans, turns to gold. events are always sold out. it's incredible. >> the momentum will speck up speed after another world series title. people like to jump on. giants fans would say, get on board. let's do it. let's go for another one.
12:23 pm
and then you have that fine line where you done want to be spoiled. j. t. snow says it nicely. i hope the fans appreciate what they have here because, no, you don't win two out of three. in fact, in the national league, it has not happened since 1925 and 1976 when the -- 1975 and 1976 when the cincinnati reds did it two out of three years. optimistically speaking, you want to keep it rolling. why not? i heard that word roll out in the last few days, dynasty. >> and i know that sal talked about he didn't say hello to the mayor because i don't want to change the juju. you the team did not use the word parade during the world series. because they didn't want to jinx it. >> as you look at these live pictures, look at this live

picture now that we have of city hall, this obviously takes planning. just a couple of days ago, i was there at city hall talking to the city administrator talking about a plan. they admitted, you know, they cannot have a celebration like this by a couple of days. they admitted, after game one, they started thinking bit. and after game 2, they started to go and after game three, they went full force. >> we marched to the pacific to civic center. it was early. it was 6:00. i was floored. i could not believe how many people were there. that is nothing compared to what is happening here. >> you saw him with his arms stretched out there, that is juan marichal. >> the dominican dandy.
12:25 pm
when you are doing with your kids, you are coming through -- first of all, you are raising your kids right. >> thank you, uncle mark ibanez. >> they are genes fans. they are experiencing that. maybe they won't remember, maybe they will. >> that's hunter pence. >> giving another get on board and get pumped up. >> i didn't recognize him clean shaven. >> right. >> like they do in hockey during the stanley cup playoffs, they grew a beard. that's what he did during the playoffs. he is clean shaven. look at hunter pence. >> talk about the rallying speech he gave to his teammates. tell me about that, because there was so much -- he just put the fire in them. when he was asked about it, he says, i didn't do anything special. >> that's not something that you see in baseball. that's the ray lewis, the linebacker before an nfl football game or something like that but hunter pence fit in
12:26 pm
with this team at the time he was acquired at the trading deadline and he felt such kinship with the guys and such brotherhood that the essence of this message was, i don't want this to be the last game together. i want to sit with you guys more. i've never experienced a chemistry like this in san francisco. let's keep it going. let's get out there and not give up. i think that carried through and i see john sasaki trying to track down sergio romo. good luck with that, because he is quick on his feet and he is excited. why not? john gave up. there is romo who threw that beautiful strike 3 past the looking miguel cabrera to give the giants the second title in three years. >> i love the reaction shots. see how this guy reacted and that guy sergio romo's reaction is priceless. if you looped it for a half hour, i would look at it for a
12:27 pm
half hour. >> no question. >> he was not meant to be the closer of this team. brian wilson went down and sergio came in and there was a question of who was going to be the closer with closer by committee. type, they used castilla but, sergio romo in the playoffs became the closer. look like romo was overcome by the moment. he got out of the car. he could not contain himself any longer. he got out. he is a people person. it's fun to see the interaction between fans and players because just the way things are in these days, a lot of these fans never get close to the players. >> there is brandon belt. a lot of these guys are home grown talent. no question about that. >> the fact that the giants are not the team like the dodgers that are going to go out and try to sign huge money players, not to say that they have a small payroll by any means,
12:28 pm
because they don't, but the fact is that they do try and groom a lot of players coming up through the minor league system. that's the giants way. that's the way that brian sabean and his brain trust like to conduct it. the good news is for giants fans, we hear three or four sensational prospects chomping at the bit to get up here and prove their wares. giants have a long pipeline of players ready to come up. the giants fans are in for good stuff in the future. there is another shot of the huge throng waiting at city hall. >> and i don't know about you guys but i think these convertibles are working way better than the cable cars that we had in 2010 because you can see the guys. they can jump out or sit in and wave. >> there is barry zito. >> you can see the players and what they look like in streets clothes. there is bare zito with his wife. from a reporter's point of
12:29 pm
view, great to see barry zito let it hang loose. he was so reserved. earlier, we heard him say it was so painful to be left off the roster in 2010. and buster posey, this guy has been in the major league three years, missed most of last season because of a well documented ankle injury. so two full seasons, two world series rings. there is with his wife, soaking it all in. usually very reserved. and that's about as did he mondays demonstrative he is. it's hard to see a pitcher -- these guys are young and they have already done what a lot of major league players never did. >> to get a world series ring once in your career, that's a sensational job, something that sticks
