>> mayday, mayday, mayday, mayday -- firefighter down. >> the mayday call goes down saying we have a firefighter down. and you see it in the video here. look to the right side of your screen. a firefighter comes out of a window through the smoke, through the fire -- falls on his back and another firefighter comes to his aid and pulls him away from the fire. reports saythat he had faln toufloor. injured his leg and had to jump out of a window to get to safety. >>? now that's a pretty wide shot, but there was a photographer on the fire grounds as well that got these incredible images. >> he's engulfed in smoke himself as he's getting pulled out of this building. >> look at the pictures, you can see through the black smoke, you can clearly see the firefighter's air mask, hat. >> incredible thing is that he was able to save himself instead of having his buddies have to go enter and go rescue him. >> he was treated for leg injuries at the scene and released.

a second firefighter was also injured. he suffered smoke inhalation and was transported to the hospital and treated. >> mayday, mayday, mayday -- one firefighter down! it wasn't about turkey on thanksgiving day on cape cod, it was about dolphins. this is a dolphin rescue. >> i thought they were bringing it to the table. >> wait a minute! this doesn't sound like a very friendly thanksgiving day. >> it was a very friendly thanksgiving day for these dolphins, eight dolphins got trapped during low tide and a rescue group came and four of them were returned to the water after they had a little rv where they cleaned them up, gave them a little check-up, they're healthy, let's go put them back and people got video of them. >> i hate to ask, you said four of them. what happened to the others? >> the others were herded back into the water. and these four were rescued and returned to the scene. one of the guys after the rescue explained to everybody standing

there what happened. >> they were released. they were tagged with a small plastic tag with an i.d. number on it. so if they do happen to come ashore, then we'll be able to i.d. them and identify them from that. >> normally they have about 38 dolphin rescue as year. so far they've had 262. >> what? >> still trying to figure out why. they say it has something to do with the fact that if one dolphin is in distress, this he stay in their herd and stay with them. that's why maybe there were so many. >> what a cool moment to be there on the beach while they're letting these dolphins go back into the sea. a beautiful shot with the sun sunshining on the water. >> think about how many people were available to execute this rescue. check out their health. make sure they were able to return to the sea and put them in the water on a holiday. sadly. 20 million turkeys died on thanksgiving. >> but these four dolphins lived. watch surveillance video

from wrtv, this was back in september. ben chance is working the counter of don's guns, when this guy in white shirt, 26-year-old brian waner had rented a 40 caliber gun and spent about half an hour at the indoor shooting range, shooting off some rounds. he comes back to return the gun and pay. watch this, in a split-second, 26-year-old brian waner points the gun and shoots ben chance square in the chest. the bullet went through his body and out the other side. but -- watch ben. ben quickly grabbed his gun. and fatally shoots this 26-year-old waner. >> oh, my goodness. there's a moment there where they're both pointing the guns right at each other from just feet away. >> the first shot was four feet away. it went right inside my neck and out my back. it ricochetted off my shoulder blade bone and came out the side of my we'll be right back here. >> he believes he lost over half the blood in his body and had to

be revived twice by his co-worker. who you also see in this surveillance video. she's down there with her hands on his chest trying to stop the bleeding. >> oh, my goodness. >> what the heck was this guy shooting for? was he trying to steal the gun? rob the place? what was he doing. >> ben chance believed the guy was mentally ill. it happened on september 17th. ben is back on the job at don's guns, after spending 19 days in the hospital. getting treatment for this bullet wound in his chest. >> i'm very lucky. because when i shot and dropped to the ground. he was still able to get off two more rounds that just barely whizzed by my head. >> we've seen many videos of russian accidents caught on someone's dash cam. this dash cam caught this driver in his own accident. you see him there? speeding up, driving really fast, past this truck on the right. driving over this icy part of the road and suddenly loses

when you're a young athlete in outsports, you're lucky if you have an audience, mom and dad usually and that's about it. the nashville predators, a pro ice hockey team in nashville decided to surprise one of their youth hockey teams with a big old crowd. so they invited 250 people to come to the a game sportsplex in nashville and look at what they did. they set up an announcer's booth. they brought the predators' cheerleaders. they brought the predators mascot, nash. they brought the band. and then without the players of the youth team knowing, they start their game as usual. just another day. >> and empty stand, no big deal. just mom and dad. and suddenly, the kids are looking around, because all of a sudden the bleachers are filling up. >> i think it's a great idea.
