oliver was taken into custody at 9:00 last night at a motel in oakland. he was booked on arson and murder charges. he doused his girlfriend with gasoline and lit her on fire after the couple got into an argument outside of a laudromat. she is now in the hospital with critical injuries. the coast guard will meet with the man who sideswiped the bay bridge. here is more about the bar pilot. >> reporter: a few moments ago a spokesperson confirmed their people will be doing an interview with the bar pilot who was at the control of yesterday's ship. it sideswiped one of the bay

assault weapon hit a teen in the foot. the suspects were actually shooting at another car which actually crashed while trying to get away. earlier he became the first homicide victim. it happened 445 am it testimony yesterday afternoon. the victim was a loan and officer pronounced him dead on the scene. there is no word on a motive. they are due back in court this morning. 19-year-old david morales faces two counts of murder and several other felony charges in connection with the deadly crash new year's day. he was facing a shooting when he killed 208,000 people. former congresswoman gabrielle giffords and her husband launched an initiative to raise money for their

as san rafael and l-boro. facing the killing of a woman and they used dna evidence to link the killing to a woman whose body was found from a dumpster. police arrested her accused killer last week. homicide detectives said he knew the young woman and they had a serious argument. they say a convicted serial killer led them to the new well which is near the first well excavated last year. he and his friends buried their victims during a killing spree in the '80s and '90s. we will do a careful investigation to make sure all

and we have radiational fog, wintertime fog and it is not just inland. 30s and 40s and there is a lot of moisture in there but a sign of our changes and patchy fog, this will be the warmest day of the week by a mile because we start to cool it down tomorrow and then very cool air comes in on friday and saturday, it was march of a cold damp fog 50s and 060s, -- 60s, mid-60s san jose, oh, my goodness, get the sun block out. if there was any snow it would be down under 1,500 feet and there is not a lot of moisture. there is a ton of cold air and we will take that to friday. pam, brian?

the air and as it does, today will be warmer. we will have one of those rare days where it is foggy and cool for others but temperatures around the coast, around the bay, very mild to warm and then we bring in some really cold air friday night. kind of a fog -- kind of a foggy day, livermore 57 and out towards antioch, 64 degrees redwood city 63 and fog is on the increase and a little bit cooler on wednesday. if there is any moisture there will be low snow moisture as well. weekends will be breezy but days are okay. she is appealing her

off to a nice start. this is interstate 880 in oakland and there is a nice drive heading to downtown oakland and no construction delays in your way in this stretch. also the morning commute looks good at the toll plaza and it starts getting busy at around 6:00 but sometimes things happen and we will keep a close eye on it. the san mateo and dumbarton bridge are still looking okay. >> sal, what is it 30 days until pitchers and catchers? >> nobody is counting but yes. >> we will keep an eye on things and there were some pockets where i was like what? so just be careful. lows have come up and it is kind of a damp colder day. you get a really good look to the west and that's high pressure building and not much

moisture. now today after the fog sunny and warmer weather so morning fog overall it's nice and big changes come in late wednesday and thursday and friday but it's cold and there is hardly any moisture with this. you can get some snow down around 1,500 feet and today it will be mostly sunny and warmer. after that dense patchy fog temperatures will warm up quickly. it was warmer in the sun but cold and unsettled weather returns tuesday to wednesday. 50s and 60s but a little cooler out towards antioch and that fog from the valley but not so for morgan hill gilroy even redwood city, los gatos, it looks nice. that cold air just. >> reporter: in and tell --
