madison, south dakota over the weekend and senior, michael, was wrestling in the spotlight match, and, well, he was definitely in the spotlight. >> all of a sudden, guess what? >> what happened? >> oh! almighty. >> that wasn't supposed to happen like that. >> that was not supposed to happen. the spotlight that was the center point of this spotlight match came crashing down on top of macomish, 1yujust as he put himself in the ring. >> they go help him, lifting spotlight off him. he gets up, walked away from the mat. he ended up taking the force of the blow in his head. it required 20 stitches in two different places on his head. >> this makes me think this looks like a viral marketing campaign for the next "final

destination." >> what people are saying. kind of a strange "final destination" moment. and valerie actually spoke to michael. >> i heard the chains, and next thing i know, it was very bright. >> that was the scariest thing i have ever thisee, i thin. >> no report why the lights came crashing but but they say he was back at scoot the next day and doing fine. >> i would have been in trouble. >> almighty! when you're covering the news you don't want to become the news, but that's what happened to channel 10's helicopter. suddenly their helicopter began to spin out of control. the cameraman is still rolling when the helicopter starts to go down. a 9 news cameraman on the scene captured the helicopter crash landing. >> oh, geez!

>> and the pilot reportedly says he lost power prp something happened with the helicopter mechanically, he believed and de what he called an auto rotation. basic he, he saved the lives of himself and the camera man. >> looked like he set it down pretty easy. >> he did. you see the breaking off. coming to rest on its side. the cameraman, only 22 years old, recently trained how to fly in this helicopter gets out. >> wow. >> so does the pilot, paul, they both get out. you see him tear off his harness, runs away. he's afraid now the helicopter's going to burst into flames. >> that is wild. >> how incredible that emergency crews were there to rush to their aid immediately. >> yes. the fire crews immediately started to spray foam on the helicopter so it wouldn't catch fire. the cameraman talks to 9 news

about this experience. >> didn't know whether to run back and help him out. yeah. i thought would go up in flames. >> that pilot has 40 years of experience. it you're going to have an incident, that's the guy you want. >> did an amazing job keeping his-of-the head up. and a brock lynn, new york deli, but 86th previcinct offics are quick to the scene with guns drawn p drawn. you see them coming in, yelling, "drop your guns." there were patrons in the store. they first get them out on the street to safety but there are two armed suspects. you see them move to the back door. this is kind of funny. they're trying to escape -- that's the bathroom door, and watch this, they beat the thing down breaking in thinking this

is some sort of exit, but we got a police report from nypd their attempt to escape through the bathroom door, unsuccessful. like trapped raps. >> all they had to do, open it this way. >> yeah. i don't think it was locked, because how would you get in? now they realize they can't escape out the bathroom. what should we do now? they turn the corner and the arms go up and that's when the two police officers get these two guys on the ground, apprehend them. later with the assistance of other officers at the scene, he did recover two loaded firearm, and these suspects have been identified. now facing robbery a additial this incident. >> all tough when pushing around people, soon as they meet the nypd, they're little pussycats. and update from tehran, iran, not long ago. if you remember, the man on the

street, he was robbed by two men with a machete. they jumped off of motorcycles and they attacked this man. well, i said at the time that these two men could face the death penalty. well, they did. they were hanged on sunday. >> wow. >> how do they know they had the right people? >> the iranian news agency said that during questioning, one of the guys admitted that they did it because they were poor. it grabbed the attention of the iranian people and a judge said they were guilty of "waging a war against god and therefore deserved the death penalty" according to their legal justice system. about 300 people in tehran witnessing this event, but remotely, after the two men had ropes attached around their neck, someone hit a button, cranes lifted them of you 15 off the ground and they were dead seconds later. >> it's so strange how technology played a part in this entire process, from beginning

to end. >> yeah. you could watch the execution, because people watched this youtube video and they are identified from this video. that's how they got themselves there. >> this picture appeaed in the "tehran times." you could see here the executioner has his arm around him comforting him, because a lot of people were moved by their story not wanting them to be executed. in western cultures we're not used to people stealing and robbing somebody and getting the death penalty, but this is something that does happen in certain plapss in the world, and it certainly happened in iran. when temps dropped, we drop some cool tricks. >> oh, man. that's crazy. looked like the picture was full of snow. >> see what you can do with a couple items when it's below freezing. and video full of sails. >> what the heck were they thinking? >> you won't see this one coming -- neither did this guy.

says, this is my lot. you guys gotta go. >> good job, rocco. >> so we've got the shop owner and rocco's boss joining us "right this minute." tell me how you felt when you first saw this tape play back and you saw your hero dog coming to the rescue? >> to be hon e679 with you, i was so impressed. i was like, wow. i couldn't believe it, to be honest, because my security guard, he called me. he said, he's the one who made them run away. right? >> so why get a lab as a security dog? why not a german shepherd or something known to be a security guard? >> the only reason i got him, he has a solid body compared to other dogs. you will realize that he's not like a normal lab. he's like a double tough normal lab right now. and the way he chases people, it's scary. you will see a black bullet coming towards you. >> can you get him on camera? ah! i'm not positive, but i think this video might make you feel like you're sitting in your seventh grade science class. what we've got is our standard little earth worm and i think the reason that this person got their video camera rolls washgs this earth worm seems to have translucent skin. in fact, it seems as though you can see blood circulating through its dorsal vessel. >> ooh. >> my goodness. >> this is very seventh grade science. i can smell that weird formaldehyde smell always in your science class. >> count you feel you're going to pin this worm down and start dissecting it? >> yeah, but you can see blood traveling back and forth? >> they do have blood. this is the dorsal vessel you're seeing and we're just watching the blood circulate. >> looks like little bolts of electricity going back and forth. >> it doesn't look real. >> it doesn't. >> shot by kim and so amazed by what he was seeing he thought, why not? >> looks like we're seeing an x-ray without x-ray goggles.

this video is so full of fail it's hard to keep track of them all. in brazil. we start with a jeep that swamped himself in the water. looks like he was trying to maybe run across the beach and went a little too far. dropped his right front wheels in-of-into the water. fail number one, push it out. fail number two, tied to another jeep. you know a jeep shouldn't have slack in line if you're towing it out. >> fail. >> again that doesn't work. >> i have a feeling they're going to end up with their bumpers in the water, or worse. >> worse, christian. that doesn't work, he starts to dig himself in. and who where these guy, standing. >> oh, no. >> bing! fail again for tying the rope to the bumper and not the frame of the jeep, and fail for standing so close to it. the bumper comes flying off. hits this guy and lays him out on the beach. you can see blood on his head. broke his leg and fractured his

hand in multiple places. >> oh, my goodness. what the heck were they thinking? >> just stupidity on all levels. with so many mistakes, you kn knee-of-know somebody was going to get hurt. >> could have decapitated him. i always think there's smz zen-like when you put a cam on a we're watching chase jump into the pool and go after the tennis ball. >> oh, look at his paws go. this is such a great angle of what it's like to be a dog in a pool. >> yeah, really. >> you can see where he drops the ball, and how he goes after it again and again. >> whoa! >> but my favorite spart how he shakes the water off. i've never seen it from this angle. >> then he picks the ball back up, takes it back to his owner. the owner throws it in the pool, and it's repeated again and again. >> this will make you dizzy after a little bit, actually. >> very different from the other
