9:33 am
pup see it's a traffic stop. the suspect gets out of the car and doesn't look all with the deputy, but things escalate. here the cop is about to turn him around and he's about to handcuff him. >> never good when the suspect gets out of the car before the cop eve ain proemps. if you're innocent, you sit in your car and wait. >> exactly. something is about to happen. soon as the deputy reaches for his handcuff it's, penos starts resisting. he gets back in the car. the car is started. you can see here, the deputy is still holding on, but penos is still trying to make a mistake and he does it. >> the officer's in the car. >> not anymore. look at that he dragged the after 15 to 20 feet. the officer did suffer a minor head injury. you could see here, he runs from one side of the street to the other. he eventually kind of gets his bearings and runs back to the car and tries to pursue the suspect. deputy the were eventually able to catch up with penos. they say he went home, hid in an

9:35 am
the train slit his trailer in half. >> good thing it's recycled paper and not, like, bowling balls or something. >> well, the terrifying thing, too, if you watch it again is how close this trailer comes to hitting the gas pumps at m&m beverage. wppt in vermont spoke to witnesses and police about this accident. >> luckily, this kept the truck from hitting the -- t. is scary. that would have created a huge explosion. >> according to police, the driver said he was distracted by another car, and didn't notice the flashing lights, but police went back and reviewed this surveillance footage and the can't figure out what this drive worry have been distracted by. >> there is nothing right in his vicinity that would have distracted him. >> amazingly, no one was injured in this accident. even the dreiver of the truck ws not injured, but he was issued a citation for causing this accident. >> it's up to the people to pay attention to the lights and not try and beat the train, because it doesn't always work.

this next video pits man versus machine. to be more specific, vincent versus the paris metro. i've gopt to say, this is an awesome challenge. we're seeing it from a bunch of different angles. what vincent is going to do is, he's going to get off the subway at one spot, then run. try to beat the subway to the next stop. meaning, he's going to leave the station, run through the streets, get to the next stop, go back down to the station, back down to the platform and try to get back on the exact train help just got off. he's got a camera attached to his head. they've got cameras -- in the rear carriage of the subway and the front carriage of the subway, and watch this. >> everybody, get out of his way. >> vincent is off. look at this. starts booking it up the stairs. turns the corner here. now he's got to deal with all these people. down here in the bottom right, going through the hallway, now he's going up the stairs that leads out to the street.
9:37 am
but now you can tell that the subway's already taking off. the other camera, the subway's already moving. now he's getting caught up because a bus is coming across the street. can't exactly cross. now there's cars. weaving in and out of traffic, around a police car. >> oh, my goodness. he is hauling butt. >> he's hauling, but the subway's moving, too, and you know the subway is moving faster than he is. here he is crossing another street. now -- >> oh! >> he bites it. >> now gets caught up here trying to get through the -- his car's not working. watch. and i actually think vincent might want to lay low for a little while because he jumps the gate here eventually. i don't think he paid to get through, but sneaks through, runs down the stairs, and just before the doors close -- he gets himself on the subway. >> he made it? >> he made it. >> oh, my gosh. i can't believe he made it. i really did not think he would make t. completely pointless, but impressive.
