sheriff's deputies shot and killed a suspect. it started at 10:45 last night with a report of an abduction in san rafael. it was a high speed chase. the kidnapping victim was able to send a text to a friend saying she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted and able to provide a decision of the cuss secretary's car and the -- suspect's car and the suspect led them on a chase that ended here. >> the deputies shot and killed him while trying to take him into custody. we are following developing news from contra costa county. news chopper 2 was over the scene of a large back up at the cadecott tunnel in orinda. and all of the lanes reopened after a police chase and multi car crash. there are still residual delays

we are no less proud of the program and disappointment to all the fans and the alumni. and the ncaa put the st. mary's basketball program on probation. they failed the activities of the foreign athletes. the punishment includes the program being on four years probation. they will have to serve a five year suspension. coach bennett will not be allowed to recruit off campus and will have to give this out to student athletes. >> before i was president. i have always trusted him as a good teacher. he has the best interest of the students in mind. and if there are mistakes made. he is aware of them and we are both on the same page about the importance of correcting those. and moving forward. so, i have confidence in randy. the investigation mainly however, focuses on a former assistant coach. they say he would try to recruit players from france and offer them things from outside

canceled this morning. 20 flights grounded for two hours and after they imposed a ground flight. and they came in or go out and lifted before 80:00. this type of delay is rare for the san jose airport. it gets five bad weather days a year. and at sfo, it is much more common. and they were delayed until the fog burned off. >> they are making it tough driving on the area roads. they are blanketing the hayward bridge. it was very he thick this morning and caused visibility problems for drivers. >> they issued a dense fog advisory and adviced them to use caution. the advisory is still in effect. >> this is deadline day for the automatic cuts to the federal budget. >> despite a meeting this morning. president obama and congressional leaders failed to come up with a deal to limit
