9:02 am
think, okay, that wasn't that bad. until he gets hit by another wa wave. >> how he is really in for it. you see it go almost dark with snow. seconds later you hear the snow sliding noise op. he is trapped for about five minutes under the snow. you hear him breathing heavily, struggling for breath. finally, he starts to scream. i am not sure if he hears somebody approaching and wants to let them know, but listen to this. >> sounds awful. >> about a minute after he
9:03 am
starts screaming for help, thankfully you see this. there are his friends who have found him and saved his life. thankfully he wasn't hurt. he writes he was able to ski down the rest of the mountain by himself. >> it is so exhilarating to see what they're seeing but it is incredibly dangerous. before you know it, you could be in this situation. >> they're out there every day making sure we're not breaking any laws. who is out there making sure cops aren't breaking any laws. in this case it is 12-year-old jeremy drew. >> is there a reason for you to park on the sidewalk? is it like an emergency or anything? oh. can i see your badge number in. >> no way. >> this 12-year-old knew the law. officers are allowed to park on the sidewalk if there is in fact

an emergency, but otherwise it is illegal. >> can i see your badge number? >> why? >> because i have the right to. >> he wants to see the officer's badge number. the officer gets on his bike and starts backing it up like he is kind of ignoring jeremy. >> can i please see your badge number? >> the cop starts up his motorcycle and looks at jeremy, can i see your i.d. >> i am a minor. >> how am i going to know who you are. >> i am jeremy drew. >> he is telling the officer he doesn't think it is necessary to block the sidewalk. >> i don't think it is necessary to park a motorized vehicle on the salt lake city. >> and you suddenly hear the officer say -- >> oh, come on. seriously. >> this cop has a moment here. he could teach this kid something. he could commend the kid for being an outstanding citizen and keeping an eye on things and giving him a pat on the back and instead he turns the tables on a

12-year-old. >> it all happened back in september of last year. the video is just now going viral. we reached out to the police and according to them they really didn't have any idea about this video but this particular officer has retired. we don't know if he retired as a result of this incident or this video but we do know he is no longer serving on the force. he had been on the force for 25 years. >> kid's going to be an attorney some day. >> i feel like we're in capable hands when this is our future. >> can i see your badge number. >> why? >> because i have the right to. the crazy obstacle course people put themselves through, it is a lot of fun but also looks like it could be kind of painful, like this grid of electrified filament. they call it the electric eel and you have to crawl through it while getting shocked. watch what happens to one guy as he makes his way through.
9:06 am
he gets lifted up off the ground and yanked backwards right on his back and you can hear everybody in the crowd. that's definitely a time where you get the wind knocked out of you. you ask yourself how did that happen? apparently when he was going through one of those electric filaments, touched the palm of his hand, and it caused the palm of his hand to close up and he basically grabbed hold of that filament that's hanging down there and yanked backwards. if you watch it again in slow motion, keep your eye on his hand, you can see as he hits the ground that one wire is still inside his fist. >> that is so weird. >> yeah. >> crazy. looks like someone just yanked the rug out from underneath. >> it has to hit you in the exact right spot to cause that kind of reflex. that was just kind of unlucky placement for him. >> he gets up, kind of like what
9:07 am
the heck just happened. he is able to finish the race. this is right by the finish line. you can see as they run, the very end. thankfully it wasn't the beginning. >> this dude shows up to a grocery store in des moines, iowa, trying to return an open package of cigarettes. this video picks up as the clerk was trying to get him to leave. look how the customer responds. the very angry customer got super angry, starts beating on the clerk at the store, grabs a shovel and starts banging it against the head of that employee. fortunately the victim suffered only minor cuts and bruising. the aggression of this man is unbelievable. police bringing this video because they want to find him and know who the dude is. >> that has to be aggravated assault or something. hopefully it was a lightweight shovel like plastic or something. >> we recently showed you the video of the man holding to the

hood of a car of a driver that just hit his wife's suv. it turns out they talked to him and we now know more about what happened. that man is elton kim. he was outside the dry cleaning business he and his wife own when he saw this happening and the woman tried to get away and he jumped on the hood and they drove like that for two miles. amazingly she ended up not getting injured. she was forced to stop at a stop light and he was able to jump off and thankfully without getting injured and he called police and by the time they arrived he had already left. >> i don't think it was intentionally like she wanted to hurt him, but for some reason she never stopped. >> now it is okay. >> the driver is facing aggravated assault charges according to police. apparently a suspect has been identified but no arrests have been made yet.

he served in the british navy during world war ii. >> and he had a photo of himself as a 20-year-old in his navy uniform. as you can imagine, over the years it had gotten pretty worn. >> see how the strangers did a touch-up that made for a touching moment. two extreme orders

surprise. >> he colored it and didn't know what kind of hair and didn't know you were raving ginger. >> listen to what he has to say to all the people of the reddit kmaunt. >> just out of the goodness of their hearts. >> where is this reddit community, i would like to visit there and tell these people thanks in person. even though we're super close to summer, the winter sports videos are still sort of creeping in and they're still pretty awesome. this one features a pro skier and caleb and they're about to attempt something at the same time they have never done before, a double front flip. there they go. they pick up speed going down a couple of slopes and up one ramp and this is the moment. >> wow. >> as they do it. >> they both stick it. >> they both stick the landing. >> obviously super excited.
9:14 am
>> that was so scary. >> obviously they loved it and they're going to do it again and the second time. >> almost perfect unison. >> there it is. >> when you go off a ramp like that, it is sort of the natural progression to do a back flip. they have to totally support their bodies in order to front flip like that. >> looking to do it together and kind of nicely. >> like synchronized swimming in the air on skis. this large group of people in siberia and trying to cross a river except there is no bridge. you bring in an excavator or two. watch the process. load into the bucket with bags. it won't just not excavator that takes them to the other side. watch what happens. there is a second excavator. they have to transfer buckets. do you think they have baggage fees. >> one carry on.
9:15 am
>> can you imagine if this is your commute to work? sorry, i am late, the excavator line was extra long. >> they get everybody loaded up and this it pivots itself around and flops the people on the other side. >> is this an emergency evacuation. >> it appears it isn't some sort of every day occurrence. it being loose like it is overrun here. they can only take a bucket full of people at a time. it is a long process. >> there are a lot of people waiting to do this. i commend them for waiting patiently. >> here we get a wide shot and you can see both excavators working and how the whole thing is going down. did anybody notice the pipeline or bridge like structure in the background? >> like they're currently building a bridge and looks like they had a land bridge in place while the actual bridge was being built and looks like that land bridge got washed out. >> where is the hashtag line? we're about to witness some varying degrees of awkwardness. >> puckering up to strangers next "right this minute."
9:16 am
still to come, a car crosses paths with the wrong dude. >> then the car does stop and the dad walks up to the driver. >> no. >> how this close call got up close and personal. >> and two links hanging roadside. >> having a little conversation. >> sounds like a man for the best deals.

308 pounds he is dead lifting using just a little finger. kbret i impressive. he was even surprised with himself and did ten reps which is more than he thought he could do. >> i wouldn't want to flip the bird. >> think how impressive the bird looks. it is intimidating. times like these i regret not taking the intro to links language course in college. it would really come in handy here. >> this is in northeast minnesota near saw mill like and they're having a conversation. >> and also sounds like the sound effect from scary movie. >> it sounds like a man screaming. >> like a ghost coming through the house. imagine camping out and hearing that at night. it sounds like they're getting mad at each other. the conversation is going downhill. you see the one stand up.
