. good evening, i'm ken wayne hello again, everyone, i'm heather holmes. >> police are looking into a beta breakers party that lead to a nearly fatal fall from a house. lorraine has more on this. she just spoke with investigators about the victim's condition. >> >> reporter: police are interviewing as we speak to try to figure out what happened. the scene is clear out here in front of the four story building. you can see how high the roof is. the 28-year-old man who fell was transported with life- threatening injuries. as you can imagine, the man's friends and partygoers, too distraught to talk. there were a half dozen people partying on this roof around 3:30 p.m. when one man fell to the sidewalk below. at this point, police believe

it was a terrible accident and they are reminding people to watch out for their friends especially when they have been drinking and of course, hanging out on a roof is never a good idea. >> it's very, very dangerous, roofs are not made to hold party. unfortunately, this is what what can occur. alot of drinking today. after the race, itself, finished and we had a big police presence and as i said earlier, we broke a lot of parties down. the crowd overall was pretty good. >> reporter: deputies tell us several police officers were right across the street from beta breakers when the man fell. they quickly rendered aid and called for help. people are still partying across the street from where the accident happened. police are on hand across the street to make sure the rest of the people can stay safe out here. reporting live, lorraine

blocco. >> did police have any indication that they were aware anything about the size of the party that might have contributed to the man falling from the house? >> reporter: it sounds like a very small party. a house party with a half dozen to a dozen people at it. across the street, you can see there are still many people partying across the street. they tell us that there were arrest. they don't know exactly how many. as the deputy chief told us, this has been a relatively mild event for beta breakers. the people we talked too, the racers around have told us today it's not -- it wasn't as crowded and it wasn't as crazy as it can get at beta breakers. we did see somebody climbing a statue. a firefighter had to take him down, but as far as really big thins happening like this. this is really the only thing that has happened out here that
