animal-control is trying trying to track down the owner of this pony. when the pony stopped to nibble on bushes officers corralled it into a trailer. people gave us a photo of a man riding down the street on what appears to be the same pony. neighbors say he has been keeping the pony in the yard of a empty house. >> there is a couple ranches off of the area off of giant road that got loose before. as far as one being in a neighborhood, as long as i have been here, this is a first i heard of it. >> officials posted information

on this website hoping to find the owner but whoever claims the pony will have to pay $235. limo drivers got a wake up call today at san francisco international airport. a law enforcement strike team staged a crack down to get unsafe vehicles and drivers off the road. >> i am curious what a driver like him has expired license for 10 years. >> two officers caught this limo driver in a random check point. the strike force included the california highway patrol, san francisco police and air quality regulators. they pulled ovlimos, buses and other -- over limos, buses and other carriers. they checked for emissions testing and safety compliance. >> we look at the way the vehicle -- the year of the engine. make sure everything is properly equipped. >> which is a good thing.

hours ago. a dive team recovered the body of a man who jumped into the contra costa county canal. he was a patient at the medical center. the man ran out of the hospital and for some reason jumped into the water. a nurse and a paramedic jumped in after him but couldn't save him. new rules will help keep mercury, a dangerous toxin out of california landfills. state officials issued the rules today to step up the collection of old mercury thermometers. millions of those thermometers are still in use. the rules are intended to keep 75% of the old thermometers away from landfills by 2017.

[ singing ] >> reporter: mom describes her as a diva. >> she loves to be in front of the camera and dance and sing. >> reporter: on april 30 her voice was silenced. she was at home. 5:30 p.m. in the evening. mom cause cooking -- mom was cooking dinner. a neighbor told her her daughter fell out of the window. >> i ran outside and she was on the ground. >> mom tells us she was playing here in her room. a warm day. so the window was open. mom suspects she was sitting on the ledge and lost her balance and fell over. >> she was probably looking down to see her friends and the screen gave way. >> she was rushed to the

a winery held a tasty ceremony for some wine it just retrieved from the ocean flor. they pulled four -- floor. they pulled four cases from the harbor in south carolina. the wine was submerged for three months. after tasting one of the bottles today, they said it was more broad and complex than a land aged version. despite being skied by budget -- squeezed by budget cuts the national park service is spending money. a ktvu investigation found they are spending $100,000 to send employees to ohio in june for a conference on covered bridges. 10 staffers will attend a
