shot the department of corrections chief tom clements and a father of three nate leon. three times deputy boyd is shot and two bullets hit the vest and the third grazed his forehead and you can see him laying here. eventually a car driven by an off duty johnson county sheriff's detective stops to help. >> what happened? >> i got shot in the face. >> what's wild is this off duty detective starts radioing in for help and boyd, the guy that just got shot three times helps him. >> here is the radio. 1033. 1033. we need help. >> you can see boyd grab the radio from this detective and start radioing in information himself right after he was shot three times including once in the head. now, of course, like i said it all happened back in march. deputy boyd wants to get back on the force and has been going through physical, speech and

bodily fluids involved in this. according to police she also urinated on the front welcome mat of the county courthouse. when police asked her about that, she said, what, i just couldn't hold it. >> that's where you stop. you didn't need to kill a pan of brownies. the pea would have been enough. >> we should all get so mad all we do are smear brownies on a window somewhere. what was she looking at? like a misdemeanor if she only smeared the brownies. once she urinated it took her over the top. >> it did take it over the top. according to reports ms. latimer was charged with interference with government property, felony criminal trespass and burglary and her bond is set at $1200. this handsome man is jerry macalester. at the time jerry's goal was to become an astronaut. he was studying his first semester at an aeronautical university in florida. after that first semester he came home and he went for a dirt

biking day with his friends and fortunately in that trip he suffered an accident on the bike and he suffered a broken neck. >> it left him a c-4 quad pledge i can that basically meant he couldn't move. >> it happened in 2009 and in the three years after the accident he was through therapy able to gain some of his mobility in his upper body and hands just to be able to move his own chair and in april of 2012 he suffered a 107 degrees fever which ended up giving him a seizure and causing him to have additional brain damage which basically ended up reversing all the accomplishments he had gained in the last three years. which brings us to today. his family found out about a stem cell treatment that he can have that gives him hope that maybe one day he can actually

walk again. this is a treatment center that he has been accepted to in thailand. in order to be able to do this his family needs help. they need $30,000 to be able to pay for the treatment and for the travel. to tell us more we have jerry and his mom katie via escape from california. tell us a little bit more about this stem cell treatment and how confident you are it will benefit jerry. >> jerry will be receiving stem cells derived from umbilical cords, and he will be getting eight injections, primarily in the lumbar area. >> what is it like for you as his mom to do whatever you can to get him this treatment? >> for me i feel like i have to do everything to get jerry to this treatment because if it just gets him a little bit of mobility back into his arms, it would be worth it. no matter what it takes, we have

royce in ireland at a wildlife park and so popular they sell out places in the race in like two hours for people to participate in it and part of the draw is that the animals run with you. apparently it is part of their pack mentality to start running. they see people running and they run, too. >> it is an interspecies race. >> pretty much except the animals don't run all four miles. >> it is not really fair. the ostrich can run quickly so it will probably beat everybody running on foot. >> and an ostrich has won the event for 37 years running. every year the humans train to beat out the ostrich and it never happens. >> can't do it. >> a good way to improve time, keep pace with the ostrich. >> or hop on its back. you can put a saddle on and ride it to the finish line. >> good luck with that. >> for decades pakistan and india have had a rocky relationship. they don't necessarily like each other very much. leave it to one, well, a well

>> they're best friends. memorial day just around the corner. let's get one last look at winter. the guys from 509 films put this together. some spectacular snowmobiling, jumps, flips, cliff diving off of these monster snowmobiles in the back country. you got skills here. left some injuries. >> when you're that airborne on a snowmobile, wouldn't you be worried if you're upside down and it doesn't rotate the whole way and you have this thing on top of you and comes crashing down? definitely a concern if you're in this kind of sport. i think the best part of this
