store owner suddenly faced a huge threat. >> they brandished at the victim. >> reporter: the suspect claimed he had hiv. the woman backed off and called police but the man with the needle got away. some who work and live in this city say it's a familiar mo. >> i was calling the cops because there was someone threatening people with a syringe. >> reporter: he faces similar threat when he confronted a man trying to kick in his window last year. >> these guys tried to threaten me with his blood. he was bleeding or something in his finger. >> reporter: they're looking for a middle eastern man, 45 to 50 years old, 5'tall, 195 pounds and has dark hair. whether the man is infected with hiv or not, is not clear. this man says keep your distance. >> the result is not good. in either case you win or you

lose. you always lose. >> reporter: back out here live no word from the victim. it is not clear if any surveillance cameras in the store or the area may have captured what happened. but certainly they say the fact that the person used a needle in this case could make it a case of robbery with a weapon. eric rasmussen. a bay area nonprofit that makes sailing to people with disabilities suffered a big loss. someone broke in and stole five outboard motors. here's a look at the damage to one boat. the group depends on donations and volunteers to help people enjoy sailing who might not other wise be able to get out on to the water. san francisco police describe the chaotic scene this morning when a robbery led to a triple shooting at a b.a.r.t.

station. three men pulled up and tried to rob three people outside the b.a.r.t. station. after the struggle the suspects opened fire shooting two men in the leg. a third man was shot in the torso and tonight is fighting for his life. >> we were trying to get medical aid for the man laying on the ground. they had information that who the shooters might be. >> that information led police to the bay view district. officers arrested three men who now face multiple felonies. a woman is in stable condition tonight after being stabbed outside an antioch super market. there are reports the victim was attacked shortly before 8:00 this morning outside the save mart. so far no word on a motive. passers by captured 35-year-old jeffrey crimson near the scene.

then police arrested him on suspicion of attempted murder. officials are still trying to determine what caused a strip mall photo. while the strip mall is set to be demolished the business owner is already talking about rebuilding. lorraine blanco joins us about fear of losing what's left of his business. >> reporter: the city and business owner tonight decided to demolish the building for safety reasons. a crew is fencing off the building and boarding up the windows. for five families tonight their livelihood is on hold for a while. a raging fire captured the attention of dozens of people passing by this antioch strip mall this morning. for a handful of families the wreckage is as personal as it gets. part of his family's legacy is destroyed. >> you have to survive somehow. i have a family to take care

of. >> reporter: all five businesses gutted in the fire were family owned and operated. antioch jewelry owner says he's worried about his valuables. many have entrusted his family with their family's irreplaceable keep stakes. >> it's very hard, i've never seen this in my whole entire life. i just remodeled a place it's unreal. >> reporter: from clients to owners and dozens of their employees. >> our busiest months are the summer months. the clients are getting their nails done and their hair done and their feet done you know. this is the season when we make most of the money. >> reporter: the contra costa fire captain on scene says because the fire likely started in the attic and the roof collapsed, it'll be very difficult to point to the specific cause. there were no injuries. the building will be demolished

on monday. lorraine blanco, ktvu. los angeles county firefighters are getting a handle on a fire burning near the magic mountain theme park. the amusement park shut down one ride to help the fire department get better access to the area. tonight the fire is 85% contained. crews will remain on the scene all night watching for hot spots. fire crews are getting a break from the weather as they battle a raging wildfire northwest of santa barbara tonight. the so called white fire has grown to 270 acres since yesterday afternoon. thousands of people were evacuated including holiday campers. the u.s. forest service says strong winds that fanned the fire yesterday died down today helping them make progress. more than two dozen people have been arrested since the east pa pa lo palo alto

announced the arrest of several individuals. so far this year there have been five killings and 50 armed assaults in east palo alto. by declaring a crime emergency the chief was able to cancel days off for his patrol officers. a trial will begin of a coach accused of sexual abuse. christien kafton joins us now with what he's learned. >> reporter: we just learned that he's been charged with 16 counts. we have video of edwards from an unrelated interview with ktvu when he was a coach at kennedy high school in richmond. he is also a musician and owner of a music review. a prosecutor confirmed for me

that edwards has been charged with 12 counts of lewd and lacivious acts on a child under the age of 14. and three counts of rape. she also told me there is an enhancement because there are multiple victims. there are two alleged victims in this case. the prosecutor told me the bail has been set at $2.75 billion. the district attorney's office told me that if anyone suspected that they know of any more victims to contact the sheriff's office. twice today coming back to the office, i tried to get in contact with barrett davis, twice he turned me down. he is due in court tomorrow. we're live in martinez, christien kafton, ktvu news. we now know the name of a man who died during a struggle with sacramento police. the cause of his death is still

a mystery. >> police say 43-year-old terety jr. got into a fight with several police officers on friday. the clerk there called police saying the man was acting strange. torretti later died in custody. today the corner said torretti did not suffer any fatal injuries during the arrest. drug tests are still pending. a new audit released today breaks down how the performance of munni translates into lost time and money for commuters. munni was only on time 61.3% and commute times increased for san franciscans by by 1-1/2%. funding took center stage during today's hearing in mad era county on the high speed rail project. the cost of that project has

ballooned from $33 billion to 68 billion since voters passed proposition 1a in 2008. but today the chair of the rail authorities said the he is confident the project will get private investors. the city moves forward with a pilot program to improve parking conditions. tomorrow is one of the last public meetings for residents to voice concerns about this proposal which would affect the elm wood, downtown and south telegraph neighborhood. right now the city is considering two options, one with increased rates during peak times. business owners in the impacted neighborhood say the plan drives customers away. >> i think they're going to kill the businesses out here. because there are similar shops down the street away from downtown. offering similar services. people will spend their money there instead of getting tickets here. >> the city council is expected to discuss the plan in 2011.

a memorial is youing in colla at the site of a crash. the victims were all ejected when the driver of a mustang rear ended another car on hillside boulevard. the mustang driver 25-year-old paul diaz initially ran off but

later surrendered. he is expected to be charged with felony hit-and-run. only on 2, a piece of fine art is missing tonight from a san frscbuilding. ktvu's david stevenson is in the city with why they think these thieves knew exactly what they were after. >> reporter: the owner of the business says that the art work was stolen before it was hung. >> i left for koreaen on may 13, i came back and someone realized it was missing. >> reporter: it's this picture depicting a fisherman on his boat. itself estimated worth $50,000. >> the amount of work was not very great so it's a very collected. he's probably one of the top five california artists. >> reporter: he left the

francisco, david stevenson, ktvu channel 2 news. at least two northern kraár kraá strip clubs are benefiting from a tax break meant to create jobs -- california strip clubs are benefiting from a tax break meant to create jobs. they've received $37,000 in vouchers for hiring servers and sales clerk. the owners says he didn't ask for the money. he was approached by consultants. >> the state of california gets little or nothing from me. >> reporter: deja vu show girls in rancho cordova also received tax vouchers. governor brown says he wants to re place it with a credit to buy manufacturing equipment. the legislative atlas says california could wind up with a surplus of as much as $3.2 million. but in governor jerry brown's budget the surplus is not that

large. the governor is urging the legislature to take a conservative approach to any extra money which is getting him a thumbs up from republicans. >> the governor is wisely call -- cautious with that. however if it is true and those moneys do materialize i hope they go to funding education. >> some democrats say they want to use the money to restore funding to a number of social safety net programs. the state budget deadline is june 15th. later this week the state assembly is set to vote on a bill to raise the state's minimum wage. the minimum wage would go up 25 crepts crepts -- cents to $8.25. after that it would be pegged to inflation. the state's office says the increase will help hard working families.

his return to the team that drafted him fourth over all in 1998. then there was word that d.j.haden is back in the hospital. he suffered an injury in college when he collapsed. haden had surgery next week to remove scar tissue from his abdomen area. the obvious questions are the two related and when might haden be able to get on the field. >> we can't rule that out. you know obviously but right knew i don't know exactly what the correlation is to it. but we don't anticipate it being an issue. he's got a, you know abdomen issue. it's probably going to keep him out the rest of the otas. and but he should be ready to go for training camp. the seventh and deciding game of the stanley cup game is going on right now. the sharks have more game seven
