take a beating with the a's game early afternoon so the rest of the day the bay bridge will be very crowded so you may want to think of the san rafael as an alternate. we have breaking news in san jose we have been following for the past hour, a young man is shot to death just yards from an elementary school. janine de la vega is live on the scene and joins us with more on the investigation, good morning, janine. >>reporter: good morning, torii and i was just told by the police lieutenant this turned out to be the third homicide and this one is roped off because the body of a man is on the ground. he is laying behind an electrical box and it is unknown at this point how he died but we do know shots were fired. it is near an elementary school

but obviously they will be detoured around this. police received a call that gunshots were fired in east san jose and officers arrived and found what appeared to be a latino man 19 and 20 years old. his face was down anficers immediately roped off this area to look for witnesses. >> we are looking for witnesses, looking for any evidence we can find and we have a homicide unit in route and they will take over the scene once they get here. >> reporter: at this point we don't have any information on the suspects right now again, police are interviewing neighbors to find out if somebody was in a car, if a car sped away if somebody was on foot, if there were suspects and/or if this is gang related

here is the latest with tara moriarty. >> reporter: if you look behind me you can see it is a goldish building you see here and police are in charge here and we are going to find how much these marijuana are worth. they were mature plants off of 5th avenue 4:14 this morning. they were used this area for a front for their illegal business and they had to pull out initially of the fire because conditions were too dangerous. wires were dangling from the ceiling and they had to pull out until pg&e got here and shut off the electric. there was another discovery made. >> there was a fire extinguisher on the floor so somebody tried to extinguish the fire prior to our arrival.

taken into custody. he was found last week after living under a different name and volunteering as a youth baseball coach. he was wanted for violating his sex offender requirements. he had to be tasered because he refused to return to california alive. silicone valley has one of the highest rates of tuberculosis in the u.s. according to the santa clara health department are in san jose and santa clara. but california as a hole has more tuberculosis cases. more than two million people in california have tuberculosis. an 18-year-old man is in a santa cruz county jail accused of shooting a beebee gun at a school bus. the man was -- a woman was injured after the beebee shattered the glass and the glass hit her in the face.

the man is being held on $5,000 bail and the driver is expected to recover from her injuries. sal, it sounds really bad for the bay bridge after that accident there. >> it does and even though it will be cleared, the damage is already done. i want to show you, the toll plaza is barely moving westbound as those metering lights have been slowed down, way down to allow fewer cars onto the bridge to allow emergency crews to get the accident off. let's take a look. it does look better but it is not completely better yet and they are just about to get to that crash and again this is going to have a long lasting look at the bridge. we don't have to be at the game until midday and you might start getting out there early because it is not going to clear up. it's going to stay this way all the way through game time.

attack on british soil since the suspected bombings in july. he was accused of killing many and could plead guilty to premedicated murder. he said his client took a plea deal in order to get the death penalty. it is considered one of the worst war crimes and if the deal is approved he will face a life in prison sentence. a congressional delegation is in russia and they will find out if russian intelligence could have prevented the boston bombing. they took part in a wreathe laying ceremony in moscow in 2010 blamed on militants from chip in. they considered one of the

people went to the park with minor injuries. he is charged with sexually abusing children and is due back in court on june 4th. he did not enter a plea and faces 16 counts including three rape charges. documents identified the two alleged victims as jane dough's and they will not say if they found anything when they found a home connected to edwards. a man nearly died after exchanging gunfire in newark earlier this month and that arrest came as kevin rhodes continues his recovery in the hospital. he is wanted for several felony charges and the suspect will be booked into jail once he is released from the hospital.

. classes have been cancel under after a deadly shooting, neighbors heard screams and gunfire at 5:20 this morning. when officers arrived they found the body of a young man facedown. police are now canvassing the neighborhood looking for witnesses so as a precaution, the elementary school is closed and this by the way is the city's 20th homicide of the year and janine de la vega is live on the scene and will have an update with a live report at 8:00. they are on the scene of a fire on view ridge drive in the san mateo hills. joining us live from the fire scene, investigators are due to arrive within the next hour, good morning, katie. >> reporter: good morning and while they are waiting for investigators, fire crews are

knocking out hot spots and almost every room of this house has fire and now water damage. you can see in the garage, all the construction and this is under construction and firefighters are trying to salvage what they could including some expensive tools. we want to show you overnight about a fire which sparked shortly before 1:00 a.m. and because nobody was living here nobody was injured but it did delay the call for help. they saw the flames shooting out of the roof and that's when somebody called 911. an old wooden roof and a modern roof which made this unstable for firefighters. >> it made it difficult for firefighters because it kept them off and the entire structure supporting the roof was burning.

>> this home is connected to electricity and not gas and they are not sure where the fire started and if it was electrical in nature and crews are still watering down the roof because of the roofing and older building materials which are highly flammable and the fire inspector is expected around 8:00 a.m. and we hope to get the latest details around the cause of this fire and we don't know if it was hooked up to electricity because nobody was home at the time. a man was hit by a cal train around midnight. caltrans said he was struck by the last northbound train. he was taken to the hospital but we don't know his condition. there were 50 passengers on at the time but nobody else was hurt. a deadly officers involved

. the classes at audubon school have been canceled after a deadly shooting on the grounds. police are canvassing the neighborhood looking for witnesses and officers tell us when they arrived they found the body of a young man lying facedown and neighbors called reporting hearing screams and as a precaution the school is closed for the day and parents are showing up with their kids and this is the city's 20th homicide of the year and janine de la vega is on the scene and she will have a live report coming up. they are addressing the spike in crime and last night they showed up to talk about their concerns. they were also given tips on how to protect themselves and the meeting came after a spike in violence including two teens. >> i for the first time in 22

. one last check on the braking news, classes have been canceled due to an early morning shooting nearby, janine de la vega has been on the scene for more than two hours and she just spoke to the school district, what are they saying? >> they have been turning parents away and parents are pulling up and surprised to see all of the crime time up and the school roped off and detectives are here gathering evidence to figure out what led up to a man getting killed on the street and they are trying to figure out who did it. they received word of gunshots this morning and officers found a latino male facedown on the ground and he appeared to be between 19 and 20 years old. they are asking the neighborhood if they saw

anything or heard anything. they put out an electronic message telling them classes have been canceled. >> we can't get into the school assuring them it did not happen at school, it is not a school incident, something that happened in the neighborhood and it is obviously very concerning but out of our control. >> it is too early to tell if there was any connection but there were other shootings and only one person was killed compared to the three shootings. this happened over the weekend and it happened during a meeting where people met to talk about it with police about their concerns.
