we have breaking news in san francisco. firefighters are on the scene of a fire. we have video of the flames and what witnesses are saying. alex. >> some neighbors are telling me they did hear explosions before it started this morning t broke out here and burned through this piece of property that's behind us here. this was a garage according to people in the area. it is destroyed. as you can see the flames spread to two homes. we're on hudson avenue this morning in the bay view district. we want to show you video from this morning. this fire sent flames up into the air. one home was empty, the other home had six people inside, including two kids but all of

them were able to get out safely. i talked with a woman and she talks about what she saw. >> the rights, i was like i saw a cable fall. that's what made it fall. i felt heat. my grandma said the house is on fire, we have to go. >> reporter: this is a big response from the fire department, 70 firefighters were called out here. and it was kept from doing damage. and there was one firefighter out here who did have to be treated for minor exhaustion. that's what i was told here on the scene. an arson investigators is out here right now gathering evidence, trying to pinpoint the cause for the fire. i asked the deputy chief if things looked suspicious. he said it is too early to

tell. a excuse warning after a man exposed himself to a female student. police say the woman was studying alone in a classroom at duncan hall last night. a man entered and exposed himself. when she grabbed her phone and threatened to call the police, the suspect left the building. police are advising people not to study alone in a classroom at night. the suspect is described as a hispanic male, 5'6" to 5'7". 150 pounds. he was unshaven and wearing a teal shirt. >> and jumping off buses. it is a growing problem that authorities say puts passengers at risk. and it happened 15 times in the

salary, benefits and workload. we are learning about a limo fire. the suspected fire forced a group of women, some in their 90s to rush out of a limo in the retirement community of rossmore. they were in a lincoln that is supposed to carry only eight passengers but there were 10 women inside when it caught fire. meantime, the owner of the company is praising the response by the driver. >> he got everyone out. nobody was hurt. not a catch. they went to the party. >> we're learning that the state suspended the company twice in the past two years, once for not having worker's compensation insurance on file or liability insurance on file. the fire comes one month after five women were killed in a fire on the san mateo bridge now a lawmaker is pushing for

tougher rules for limos doing business in california. and ellen coshit has introduced a bill requiring that all limos have two exit doors and windows that can be pushed out from the inside. >> a driver accused of killing his wife and son in a car crash could enter a plea today. he is charged with three felony counts of manslaughter and endangerment. he was going 65 miles an hour in a 35-mile per hour zone when he lost control and hit a tree. witnesses say he was arguing with his wife before the crash. time now is 4:35. we could learn more about a crackdown on gangs in san jose. and the district attorney is scheduled to hold a news conference to announce 80 charges have been filed against 48 members of one gang. the charges range from selling meth to murder. eight of the suspects have lenty criminal records that could qualify them for life in
