workers returned to the job site for the first time since the deadly tragedy, it is all ahead on the ktvu channel 2 morning news. well good morning to you welcome to a brand up in day, i am dave clark. we want to start with breaking news and sal, they have breaking coverage on westbound 24, sal? >> reporter: this happened when somebody first noticed flames coming from underneath the truck and it was not long until the cars were on fire as well and southbound through walnut creek, let's go to brian flores who is on the scene, what can you tell us? >> reporter: well, traffic on

westbound 24 is an absolute mess but fire crews are still taking care of the smoke from this car carrier which caught fire at 449 and those are about nine chrysler cars headed towards the peninsular and i spoke to the driver who did not want to speak on cameras but roughly around 4:49 he heard a loud boom and then there was a fire immediately after that. he said traffic is pretty much a mess after that. westbound 24 reaching all the way randy thanks for joining us. what is the very latest on what happened here this morning? >> well, they got a call on a vehicle fire fully engulfed car carrier with nine cars as you said and we arrived on the scene ten minutes later and it

lafayette. i am brian flores. >> thank you brian. we are following breaking news in san francisco where 7 protesters have been arrested after police raided the valley farm. some were hiding in trees but have since been removed and they want the site reserved as an urban farm. >> this is an orchestrated thing with lighting and cherry pickers and up feel it is warned -- warren -- warranted. police are out there searching for suspects in a deadly early morning stabbing and it happened at 12:30 on east san jose.

you are back there with new information about the victim. janine? >> i just learned they did live in this neighborhood and police sources are telling me he is a 50 and 60-year-old asianian man. they still have allan rock. police received a call that a man had been stabbed and when officers arrived they found him with multiple stab wounds and was rushed to the hospital where he died an hour later. officer arrived to talk with potential witnesses and gather evidence and the neighborhood has been blocked with tape and it is blocking residents from getting into their homes and one of the neighbors said he has lots of questions. >> this neighborhood is nice i

>>reporter: good morning, my sources tell me he was actually found stabbed in front of the home where he lived and you can see they have this home roped off. police are conducting their investigation still and they received a 911 call about the stabbing and when they arrived they found a 56-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds in front of his home. he was taken to a reasonable person. one man could not get into his hose. >> i just hope it is okay and we know people here. >> are you worried? >> a little bit. but i can't do anything, i

car carrier caught fire this morning and clean up crews are cleaning up and they may be out there for a few more hours. traffic is backed up all the way to 680 in walnut strike. they raid add camp at the former haze valley farm and some protesters were in the trees but have since been removed. one protester has fallen out of the tree. and in santa clara, they are going back to work this morning but they have heavy hearts. and they still mourn the loss of one of their co-workers. live in santa clara, construction workers are trying to move forward tara. >> reporter: as you mentioned,
