wet weather and channel 2 alex savage joins us to explain how this rain could even set a record. alex? it is dry right now in downtown petaluma but the wet weather is coming and when it is all said and done this storm could lay down some rain including heap in the north bay. yesterday we had clouds and light drizzle but it was pretty ominous looking and we are expecting light rain and another round of showers later on today. this could be a record-setting storm by the time it's all said and done and moves out by tomorrow and it is more than a -- if more than a half inch falls in san francisco, forecasters say the city could receive more rain this week than it did in january, january being one of the wettest months

about an hour from now. tara moriarty is live from san francisco city hall where gay marriage supporters will be gathering, tara? >> the u.s. supreme court is making that decision either striking down or upholding no legal standing. whatever the outcome, organizers will be here to watch the ruling sometime before 7:00 this morning. let's look at some video from nine years ago if you can believe it or not when same-sex marriages took place when the state supreme court hospitalled the ceremony. today could wind up being a celebration as it did in 2008 or it could develop into a protest when voters said no five months later. >> they have their quirks, there are quick of the supreme court. everyone has gay people in their lives and it is a very ditch time.

monday morning? >> peachy keen, pam. it is not the greatest but not as bad as it could be. let's look at northbound 208 and there is -- 208, there is a -- 280, there is northbound commute going on and some commutes are definitely lighter than usual. i want to mention gusty winds are reported by chp and small cars are high profile vehicles on the pass. there is some very light rain on the san mateo coast and san mateo is picking up light rain and it is not much but there are areas off the coast which are starting to enhance.
