officials are preparing for unstable weather ahead and they must admit there will be some delays. >> delays will be 30 to 60 minutes long time throughout the night. >> reporter: airport officials say the ground delay will last until 11:00 tonight and typically they can handle 60 arriving flights but as we mentioned that number is cut in half because of delays and right now oakland national airport is not experiencing any delays. brian flores, ktvu news. >> steve paulson joins us from the weather center and he said you could -- you said you could see more rainfall tonight, steve? we have a lift in the atmosphere and that has not happened but we only had a drizzle and some light rain. things should pick up and tomorrow will be the main key

day. cloudy skies, we can't find any kind of sun break but there is plenty of clouds streaming in and it is hoe hum we will zoom in on some areas and you can see a little bit of rain in clear lake, clover dale and parts of mendocino and sonoma and napa and marin county as well and things are starting to pick up as well a little bit but the main band will be wider in san francisco oakland conklin and it is quiet with all of that cloud cover in place, rain is beginning to pick up and we will have another update and we will talk about rainfall totals for tomorrow, torii. the rain is expected to reduce the fire danger for at least the next few days but this will be likely temporary because the rain will be followed by a warmup. >> it will make a short-term difference and it will be a resident pay the for the sun baking all the grasses and
