district where three people have been shot in an apparent home invasion. two people were inside that home when this happened as well, alex? >> yes, burt the good news is according to police neither of those kids were hurt during all of this. >> it appears -- >> reporter: it appears to have been a random invasion with three people shot. now this is on elmira street and the home is up at the very end of this deadend street on the right-hand side. they are now collecting evidence inside this place. when police arrived they found one man and two women had been shot. the motive is still unclear here. one of those victims appears to have been one of the shooters. two other gunmen escaped and

now they are trying to track down those two men with the help of the victims. >> they were able to give somewhat of a description but we are still looking anything who did it and if anybody has seen anything we are asking them to please call the san francisco police department. and now they are checking out some of the cars and they are thinking one of them may have been used by the gunmen. >>reporter: the children were taken to the hospital but they appear to have been unhurt by all of this. they are trying to figure out what prompted this attack, two of them critical, ktvu channel 2 morning news. also new this morning, san francisco police are looking for the suspects in the burnel

channel 2 morning news, two dozen boy scouts are recovering after lightning hit their camp. nobody was hit directly but three of them were ken to e hospital for feeling tingling and burning sensations. >> we could not get them out because the storm was still significant and it lasted another 15 to 20 minutes. >> the children were around 17 years old and they were there for leadership training. police say they raped and imprisoned a 15-year-old girl. they are accused of repeatedly raping her and keeping her inside a metal box. it's not clear how long they kept her. they found a high powered sniper along with body armor and other military gear.

down the entire freeway and they wanted to keep as many lanes open in this area. this may affect northbound as well and it is early but not a lot of the traffic out there and a significant alert has been issued for this fatal crash 880 southbound at stevenson. that traffic is moderate and there are no major problems. still some light rain around even some fog and it looks like the band is lifting north. we will have some south and this is the last in the series and we have had a lot of clouds and very little lifting mechanisms about a quarter inch in spots. most live cloudy with that rain line moving north and we will start to see some sun breaks and the humidity factor is through the roof. it would not take much to get

. welcome back, car thieves are finding ways to break into cars and they are disabling car alarms and it is happening all across california. police are not sure what it is. one man caught a suspect walking near his car with the device. >> i was like whoa p-you can -- whoa, you can see this and all you hear is the door locks going up. >> it is slowly becoming a greater problem. >> federal agents are closing in on what these devices are. police in texas have one in their possession and they are trying to figure out if it was used in a reason car burglary.
