10:30 am
hi, everybody. i'm beth troutman. we've got the best videos from the web "right this minute." what's up. >> two thugs try to rob the wrong guy. >> on his way to church. >> you guys trying to jump me? >> meet the dude who went all chuck norris on the bad guys. >> i set my backpack down and basically told them to take their best shot. >> a brave kid warns his playmates after discovering there was a black bear perched on top of that playhouse. >> deciding that starting a mad

dash to safety. >> she was game to hop on the rodeo rider -- >> but i don't think this little girl will be doing that anymore. >> how a theme park ride became a scary slide. >> and four wing suit pilots try to pull off what may be -- >> the biggest base jump ever. >> why sweaty palms need not apply. this video goes to show you that you never know who you are messing with. >> what's up. >> this is from medford, oregon. >> you guys try to jump me? you want me to call an ambulance? >> the guy behind the camera is brandon. the two guys you see down on the ground tried to rob and jump brandon as he was on his way to church on father's day. this is what was left of these two guys. >> what's up? >> brandon apparently hit these guys with one punch each.
10:32 am
you see how bloody the one guy is. you can see brandon's missing a shoe. obviously a struggle. these guys approached brandon. asked for a cigarette. brandon said he didn't have one. these guys got aggressive. >> that guy is messed up. he can barely even stand. >> plea this department says that brandon's actions were justified because he was defending himself. he stopped fighting when these guys stopped. after all this, he didn't even press charges against these guys. they got a misdemeanor disorderly conduct. they are no strangers to the law. 22-year-old cameron manning and 43-year-old joseph miyazaki. recently just released from jail. one way to take care of business. we got brandon joining us right this minute to talk to us about how he defended himself. brandon, what happened? >> i told them, i was just trying to get to church. that's basically when they started to come up on me. i asked them if they were going to try to fight me two on one. they said we're going to beat you up and we're going to rob you. i basically told them, take your

best shot. >> messed with the wrong [ bleep ]. >> are you a trained martial art snift how were you fighting them? >> i never had any formal training. they were coming at me. it was a fight or flight. i figured if i walk away, they'll continue to do it. i made my stand. i went after one of them and as soon as he took a step back, i went after the other one and did that a couple times. i hit him one time. knocked him off his feet. turned to the other guy and basically the same thing. >> people calling you just a total bad ass jet li under cover. what are you hearing? >> someone made a comment that chuck norris' voice has changed a lot in the video. and it's cool. it would have been my mom or, you know, somebody else, you know, they probably couldn't take an assault like they were prepared to against me. >> messed with the wrong [ bleep ]. this video captured one heck of a day for some kids in

pennsylvania. >> get in and close your garage! >> the young voice behind the camera is t.j. simkus. his camera is pointed at the play set there right behind that house. >> according to reports there was a black bear perched on top of that playhouse right there on the roof. >> please get away from it. >> there's a fence around that backyard. obviously not a deterrent for the bear because the bear got over it to get on top of that play house roof. there's the bear. we see the bear get down from the roof of the playhouse. kind of leisurely walking around in the grass in this backyard in this heavily populated area. >> this is, according to reports, a bear cub that they think was about 150 to 175 pounds. still a sizable bear. as you can see, that bear has wandered over to the fence. >> hey, get inside your house! >> you see a brief moment where that bear is climbing over the fence.
10:35 am
[ screaming ] >> they all run into the simkus household. t.j.'s mom said about 15 neighborhood kids ended up inside her house. they were obviously terrified and thrilled all that once. this was a big day for them. >> now, according to police, this bear ended up causing a problem a few days later in the week. they ended up having to call the pennsylvania game commission. they called in a sharpshooter who shot this bear cub with a tranquilizer. the bear cub is doing fine. was released back into the wild and okay. but caused quite a scene. los angeles firefighters had a tough night the other night when they came across this commercial building on fire. you can see just white hot with heat and flames.
10:36 am
that's not the most dangerous part about this fire, though. keep your eye on the fencing to the left. see all that splashing. it almost looksike feworks. th's aeat's fallen down and it's arcing against that fence. >> how volatile does that make this situation. not only do you have that up against the metal. you are trying to fight this fire with water. you have to cut that power source. >> and that's what they do but they don't wait for the electric company to cut the fire source. the firefighters cut the line themselves with what they call a mechanical ax. >> wow! >> standing there snipping at those lines trying to at least cut the line shorter so firefighters aren't endangered by that energized fence. scarey to see and kind of cool at the same time. after nine hours of climbing, these four pilots got
10:37 am
to a spot known as point durair on mt. blanc to do perhaps the biggest base jump ever. >> what? >> these are wing suit pilots. they belong to a base jumping team. they have been developing a wing suit that could withstand the jump that they are about to do. this is the first time that these guys have done this. they are roughly 9,840 feet up there. >> so they are crash test dummies trying out this new suit. >> the suits are designed to help them glide better. not necessarily not shatter and save their lives. the first pilot goes, and then the others follow. >> that looks like a heck of a flight. they've got all that vertical space to go. so it's not just a quick flight.
10:38 am
they've got time to really dial this thing in and truly fly around. >> you can't really claim this as a record because no representative from guinness was there, but they believe that this really is one of the biggest base jumps in the world. what's even more amazing other than the amazing footage they were able to capture on their cameras is what they look like when they are finally on the ground. exhausted. >> yeah. >> they weren't exhausted. they were kissing the ground because the suit didn't end up in shreds and they weren't a bug on the side of the mountain. >> a squirrel knows what they are doing. a guy goes around the world in 80 jobs. then see the company start doing the same thing. >> some might think, wait a second. looks like they copied turner's idea exactly. >> now turner bar tells us why he couldn't believe his eyes. >> i was kind of sick to my

stomach. i was in disbelief. and this is playing defense. >> you better hope everybody is a terrible shot. >> see what ♪

we don't have a ten step filtering process for our water. we don't need it. because crystal geyser is made by nature, not by man. crystal geyser is always bottled at the mountain source.
10:41 am
it's summertime. that's when kids start begging their parents to theme parks so they can ride the rides. but i don't think this little girl will be doing that anymore. take a look at this girl who is second on the left. this ride she's on is the rodeo rider at a theme park in malaysia. notice what she's doing while she's on this ride right after it gets started. >> she hates it. >> you hear most of the kids laughing but that little girl, she's not having it. and you can see she is barely fitting into that seat. she starts to wiggle and kick. watch what happens when the camera gets off of her briefly.
10:42 am
everybody starts screaming and the camera moves quickly back toward her. you see, look at her. she's sliding out of this ride. she probably slipped through that on her own trying to get off of this scary thing. >> before she started to slip out, she was kicking and kicking and kicking. as you can see here, they eventually stopped the ride so she can get out. >> she's too small for that ride. >> according to their website you have to be 76 centimeters to ride that ride. that translates into 29 inches. >> but if you look in the video, compare her legs to the legs of the kids next to her, i mean, they are dangling down. her feet are barely clearing the seat. >> this should be fun not terrifying like it was for this little girl. the guy you are seeing in this video is named turner barr. and since 2011, he's been going around the world in 80 jobs. you've heard of around the world in 80 days. how about around the world in 80

his thing around the world in 80 jobs. he's joining us "right this minute" from texas. what did you think? >> i really didn't know what to think. i was kind of sick to my stomach and i was in disbelief. what was egregious was the little tm in the corner that they are attempting to trademark it as well. they are in the process. it was just absolutely disheartening. i felt really demoralized because i've been working so hard building something for the last two years. >> it's not just the name. they copied almost exactly some of the jobs, right? >> basically, the entire concept. i had to give up a teaching job opportunity. a couple tv shows contract now that i don't know where they are going. dealing with all these guys and their lawyers on the phone, five of them versus me and being intimidated. i want them to make it right. first apologize. compensate me. stop using my brand name. and, lastly, i'd like them to donate money to charity. >> why do you thing took the video down? >> because there were over 900 or over 1,000 negative comments

on it. people were mad at them. >> adecco released a statement saying there is concern with the use of the term "around the world in 80 jobs" and we take this seriously. we worked to resolve this and to create a mutually beneficial solution. and guess what? just a few days after we aired this story, there was a big development. the company came to an agreement with turner. >> adecco finally stepped up to the plate. companies make mistakes. big companies, small companies. it's just important you step up to them so you can move forward and create a positive outcome. they did all of that and issued the apology and so i have to give them credit for that. i feel really happy about it. a good game of dodgeball is always really fun. >> all right, boys. heads or tails. i guess i'll go with heads. it's heads. you're about to see a 46-year-old bridge get taken out in germany.
10:56 am
this happened over the weekend and notice this bridge is next to another bridge but only one bridge falls down. look. people were taken to a safety radius of about 1,000 feet. look underneath the bridge. you will see piles of dirt that are about 13 to 16 feet high. you see that right there? those contained reinforced steel because they wanted to make sure that when the bridge fell, it kind of scattered around so it wouldn't take out the other bridge. >> that probably broke the bridge into pieces, too, which i imagine they wanted because that would have made cleanup easier. >> it will take about 6 to 8 weeks to remove all those pieces, but the other bridge is back in service. the sounds of baby chinchillas --
