the buses here. you can see the line. it is moving along. folks heading on the a.c. transit. there are worries about those who may travel into celebrate the 4th of july. >> reporter: san francisco's 4 4th of july celebration promises big stuff. >> opening day. >> bigger explosions. >> there is about 4,000 devices that will launch from this location. >> reporter: officials estimate 200,000 people will head to the water front for the fireworks show and opening ceremonies for america's cup. with no bart trains loment is worried that -- law enforcement is worried that means more cars on the roads. >> bart won't be running on the 4th of july, it will be more important to make sure you have a dead uginated driver. >> reporter: -- designated driver. >> reporter: bart will operate a few buses but those are for

folks who have to work in san francisco for the holiday. it has some wonder about tomorrow's turn out. >> one would think they would sit at home. we will see how it works. >> reporter: just over an hour ago a.c. transit said they will run buses from the east bay to san francisco. san francisco's muni will offer extra trains and shuttle buses to help folks get to the festivities without having to drive. reporting live in san francisco, david stevenson, ktvu channel 2 news. and more details on bart's charter bus service schedule for the 4th of july. there will be fewer buses than today. at 6:00 a.m., 7, a.m., buses -- 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m. buses will leave from these

deadly accident. >> unfortunate accident. >> reporter: officials sent letters to parents confirming a staff member was killed when a tree crashed near the dining room. >> at the time it hit power lines so we had to wait for pg&e to get here to remove the power from the lines socal fire could cut up the tree and see if there was anyone under there at the time. >> no children were injured. two adults were rushed to the hospital. >> they were obviously upset about their injuries and the accident. both of the patients had minor injuries. one had back pain ask the other -- and the other arm pain. >> reporter: two other adults are in stable condition at a hospital. at this point the camp is offering counseling and will remain open. >> any kids that need to be

several days. look at livermore, temperatures since the 28th, above 100 degrees today. 102 degrees. a long series of very hot days in the inland valleys. concord 100. antioch 104 degrees. san jose lower 90s. 73 in san francisco. we still have the west, a big portion of the west with excessive heat warnings, including parts of the bay area. coming up we have changes to talk about, an tend to the excessive heat warning and the big change for the weekend. the hammer was dropped on san francisco city college. that college will lose its accreditation next year unless it can address a number of problems. supporters are holding a rally at the campus right now.

today the commission that over sees says san francisco city college will have to show how it will improve. >> just the impact that, you know, that this -- that this decision is going to have on this school. >> the school says for now classes will go on at normal and credits will be transferrable. if the decision is finalized the college that serves 85,000 students may be forced to close. business owners are telling police they are worried over a spike in crime. the second of two meetings is set to get under way in less than an hour. that church was packed this

morning. residents say they never seen it this bad. >> it has been escalating for the past few years and happening right in my neighborhood. on the street i live on. police captain who is in charge of the area says the department is training and hiring more officers and he said the killing of two restaurant employees was an isolated incident. police now say it happened after two men came into the wing stop restaurant to order food. the men got spooked by someone on the street. they ran to the back of the restaurant. when two employees went to see what was happen they shot and killed them. one man is in custody. police are looking for a second suspect. school teacher entered a not guilty plea today to 91

felony counts of child molestation. he is being held on $10 million bail accused of molesting a dozen students starting in 2006. prosecutors say most occurred at the school. if convicted he faces live in prison. new information on the america's cup. one day before opening ceremonies two teams are protesting the safety rules put in place following had death of a sailor. they said they can't make change says close to the competition -- changes so close to the competition. the teams will still be allowed to race in the opener on sunday. showers for memorial day. i will bring you up to the minute details.
