just minutes ago, prince william and his wife emerged from the hospital. jade hernandez has been watching it as it's happened in london. joins us from the newsroom with new video and comments from the parents. >> that's right, pam. >> there's the baby, the new royal heir. >> reporter: there's prince william, katherine and prince william. prince william emerged. he also got a chance to hold his new son, now third in line to the throne. both the prince and his wife addressed the crowd gathered outside of st. mary's hospital. the baby was swaddled in a white blanket with his head peeking out. his william says his son as more hair than he does. >> very emotional. >> i think anybody parent knows

-- any parent knows what it feels like. >> hope hopefully you can get back to normal and we can look after him. >> reporter: the prince said his new son a bit heavy. he was born weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces. what neither parent revealed is a name which could be released at any time. it did take a few days for princess diana and charles 0 to release prince william's name when he was born. we saw the new parents leave the hospital. it was the prince carrying his son in a car seat carrier and they headed home to kensington parents. both grandparents took turns greeting their grandson. we at least know the baby's new title. it will be his royal highness prince insert the given name here of cambridge. live in the newsroom, jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news. >> you will find a lot more

video of the little prince by going to our website, ktvu.com. there's a special section on the royal baby in hot topics. well, today we're learning that new charges have been filed in the disturbing case of alleged sexual assault by a ymca worker. janine de la vega is in morgan hill with continuing coverage of a morning we spoke this morning on "mornings on 2." janine? >> reporter: well, the chief operating officer of the ymca told me this is the worst nightmare for the organization. she's been on the phone all morning with concerned parents who are frightened and say they have questions. this is still an open case and police may discover more children were victimized here. police confirmed they imedded two more girls who say they were sexually abused by the worker who worked as a teacher's aide and soccer coach run by the cam with us of paradise valley school. police arrested him for

allegedly forting a 6-year-old girl -- forcing a 6-year-old girl to engage in lewd acts on him and child pornography of another girl. police determined two more girls may have been sexually abuttes -- abused after doing interviews. >> the first victim, 5 years old, a girl, while under the care of him, he took sexually explicit photographs of her. detectives were able to corroborate this from his cell phone. the fourth victim is a 7-year- old female reporting that while she will was under the care of the suspect at the child daycare facility, he molested her. >> reporter: the ymca says it has a third party investigator looking into how this may have happened. the suspect had no criminal record and a spokeswoman said what's most disturbing is that parents loved him and now they feel betrayed. a handful of parents have taken their children out of the program. police are still in the process

of interviewing children currently enrolled. >> it's horrifying and our first priority at the ymc a -- ymca is to keep our children safe. the second, work with of the police department. >> reporter: the suspect worked at the ymca for four years at various locations so it could take time to interview and find out who else he came into contact with. reporting live from morgan hill, janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. a bicyclist in san francisco makes what prosecutors are calling an unprecedented plea bargain in an emotionally charged case. the cyclist was accused of running down a pedestrian after running a number of red lights. sal castanedo joins us with the developing news and the comments made by the district attorney just minutes ago. >> reporter: well, pam, just a

few moments ago, as you mentioned, up in his office, george gascon announced the plea deal between his office and the bicyclist. bicyclist christopher bucchere has agreed to plead guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter. the plea is the first of its kind in the nation according to the d.a. gascon says the plea makes sense. >> this was a complicated case. the evidence in this case was not easy. while we have ample evidence to file this case the way that we did, we also recognize that there were risks involved in trying this case, there were risks for the prosecution, there were risks for the defense. >> do you have anything to say? >> reporter: bucchere seen after the court appearance, he hit 71-year-old sutchi hui while riding down a steep hill down market street. prosecutors say they went after a felony conviction after

evidence pointed to his recklessness, the man who was hit died four days after the conviction. prosecutors say if bucchere adheres to the terms, the judge could reduce his conviction to a misdemeanor. >> the judge can at the six- month mark, he can reduce the conviction to a misdemeanor. that will be entirely up to the court. >> reporter: it's -- as part of his sentence, he will need to complete 1,000 hours of community service. he will be on probation for three years. we asked the d.a. if the victim's family was okay with the sentence harnded down and the -- handed down. and they said they were. it served no purpose to have this man in jail and it wouldn't bring back their loved one. so it's satisfying to what they are presenting for bucchere.

sal castanedo, ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you for getting that update for us. antolin garcia-torres is due back in a courtroom. he's accused of kidnapping and killing morgan hill teenager sierra lamar. a hearing takes place in just 90 minutes. he was arrested more than a year ago, despite being in court several times, he's still not entered a plea. his lawyers blame the delays on troubled examening evidence. according to court document, he's required to be present today. morgan hill police have latested a teenager accused of rape. they say the 16-year-old attacked a 40-year-old woman on friday night. he apparently knew she was vulnerable. police say hours earlier, a cabdriver needed help getting the intoxicated woman into her home and asked for help from the boy and his mother who were passing by. officers believe the boy returned to the home. he attacked the woman and burglarized her home. police say they found her belongings in his home.

hanging out in san francisco park, all night long, may soon be prohibited. scott wiener is proposing new h parks. the nightly closure would run from midnight until 5:00 a.m. his goal is to cut down on vandalism, dumping and the stealing of metal. with uniform hours, it would be easier to enforce, he says right now the rules are very confusing. >> total mishmash, different hours for different parks. even parks that are close to each other. in golden gate park theargs eight different signage with different closing hours for different parts of the park. it's very un enforceable and chaotic right now. >> wiener said the rules are mod hest compared to -- are modest compared to other cities. this will cost the city about a million dollars a year. regard, the homeless sleeping, he said it's already prohibited to set up camp in the park.

dogs are about to get a new taste of freedom in one bay area city. coming up in eight minutes, plans for a community debate tonight, on new yor leash dog parks. federal furloughs could interview with the national guard because maintenance has been delayed on one of five rescue helicopters. federal officials say the furloughs could extend into next year. air rescue crews are typically the first to respond to large- scaled wildfires and rescue operations across california. guard officials say it's critical to keep the operation -- to keep this operational. 650,000 civilian defense department employees are being forced to take one unpaid day off each week through september 21st. it's part of the sequester

>> reporter: well, this morning, the boat was freed from mud where it's been stuck for the past three weeks or so. it ran aground right off the coast of point richmond. right now as we push in here, you can see the boat, it's sitting right off brooks island. that's where it was towed earlier this morning. after that accident a few weeks ago, it's in bad ship. but the owners are hoping to repair it. >> it feels like there's a chance to save it. >> reporter: it was a beautiful site for haden and fern brown as they spotted their pride and joy being towed back to shore. but the schooner was badly damaged in a recent accident. >> i almost cried, yes. i don't cry easily. she's still beautiful. but a lot of work to be done. if we can just get it patched

and had nd has said many times he built it. he can repair it. >> reporter: it crashed on the 4th of july, sitting in the same spot partially submerged in the water ever since. the hull had several holes. they were patched temporarily. salvage crews had to remove pumps to remove all of the hour. haden brown built the schooner by hand. so far the couple spent 30,000 to have parker diving services tow the boat. repairing it will cost a whole lot more. >> i spent 43 years building it. i know it can be repaired. it's just a matter of finding the place and the people to do it. >> reporter: the schooner is well-known in the sailing community. before the accident, sailed in a local pirate festival. it's been used for charity events as well. the couple has been trying to raise money for the complicated recovery service they went through and also pay for

repairs. they say eventually once all of the repairs are finished and the boat is patched up, they plan to donate the boat, they say, so the next generation of sailors can enjoy it, too. alex savidge, ktvu channel 2 news. well, the next strike deadline is now just 12 days away. b.a.r.t. management and the labor union still seem to be part a -- far apart in this bitter labor dispute. the union called thomas hock a union buster who has a history of provoking strikes. it also blames hock for missing ten days of bargaining. b.a.r.t.'s general manager defending him saying his absence was planned before hand and they should be able to hammer out a dale within two weeks. >> i hope they get close quick. i don't want to have to be inconvenienced by having to drive in again. that was -- it was a difficult few days. and i think it would make the

bay area a complete gridlock. >> later this afternoon, at the macarthur b.a.r.t. station, commuters can get a look at the next generation of b.a.r.t. cars, something b.a.r.t. says can be put on hold if negotiations don't swing in its favor. according to the mercury news, half of the money b.a.r.t.'s made since 2010 has gone toward the rising cost of employee healthcare and pension. both sides have until august 4th to strike a deal or the strike resumes. well, some angry parents and school officials on the peninsula may go to court after hundreds of test scores were invalidated. the college board canceled test results for 224 students at mills high school. the ones who took the advanced placement test in may. the board said there were seating irregularities. some students were seated together at round tables instead of individual desks as required. there are no allegations of cheating.
