the support from the community. >> reporter: a family member lit candles again as a small group prayed for the boy who was shot and killed with his father as the two slept in a home wednesday morning. dozens came out for the candlelight vigil last night and tonight his mother had a warning for anyone who attends her son's funeral. >> do not wear black to my son's funeral. do not come with violence, guns, because i will be the one to put you out. >> reporter: no tears, just anger and frustration that so many are feeling about the violent deaths of several children in oakland. >> you are quick to raise a gun, put up your firsts, be a man. >> reporter: this afternoon members of faith, family life ministries offered support. the family set up a website to raise money to support the boy's mother who found a new

purpose out of this tragedy. >> i will live my life for them. just because my son wasn't able to live his life. >> reporter: i checked with police this afternoon about the investigation, they could only tell me they had nothing new report. live, eric rasmussen, ktvu channel 2 news. the family of a missing woman announced a $100,000 reward for information on her disappearance. sandra coke has been missing since 7:00 p.m. sunday night. family and friends said a lot of people around the country contributed to the $100,000 reward fund. her sister said police told the family they have some leads in the investigation but that she was not given any specific details about the leads. she made an emotional plea for information and thanked everyone who helped out. >> sandra was the kind of person who would have done the

and brother. a amber alert in washington, oregon and nevada for james lee dimaggio. investigators believe he is traveling with the teen hannah anderson. sunday night firefighters found the body of her mother christina anderson and a child who is believed to be hannah anderson's younger brother. there has been a break in the cold case murder of a 13- year-old girl in sacramento. they arrested a man for the killing of jessica funk-haslam. the body was found in the baseball dugout in march of 2012, she was beaten, choked and stabs. police arrested this man last night. investigators say dna evidence led them to him and his dna was in the system because of a domestic violence charge and dui arrests. continuing coverage of the

bart contract talks. today had two sides bent back to the table. ktvu's john fowler is here now and john, they have a long ways to go. don't they? >> reporter: they do. but in the battle for public opinion bart official handed me this statement from the board saying the board is committed to a deal by sunday. but i have been pouring through these documents that reveal a deep divide between the two sides. negotiators are upstairs. clock is ticking. the deadline three days away. >> reporter: this afternoon we found commuters on the same train holding opposing opinions. >> i support their opinions. >> they are asking for too much. asking for too much.

tonight about two armed robbers. ktvu's rob roth is here with the precaution everyone is urged to take. rob? >> reporter: police say the two men are dangerous. they dress as utility workers but they are actually robbers. >> reporter: the home invasion is the talk of the neighborhood. >> warned the wife. >> reporter: police say yesterday two men claiming to be pg&e workers knocked on this doors and said they were investigating a gas leak. they were wearing hard hats and bright colored vests. one neighbor saw the men on the streets earlier reading addresses off of a note pad. >> they fooled people. >> the problem was they weren't with pg&e or any other company. >> once inside the house they

a.m. this morning. police say the bike rider was unconscious when they arrived and he was riding in the bike lane. witnesses describe the car as a dark or black 1995 toyota sedan with damage to the front bumper. man is under arrest after he murdered his ex-girlfriend. neighbors reported hearing shots fired at 11:00 p.m. last night. officers found a woman with gun shot wounds. investigators arrested the victim's ex-boyfriend. police say he has a criminal history, including a conviction for assault with a deadly weapon. jackie speier is pushing for a new alert system that might have prevented the asiana airlines crash. she wants to have that technology installed on all

commercial airlines. >> reporter: asiana airlines crashed as it was landing that san francisco international airport. three teens died. investigators say low speed may have been one reason the plane hit a sea wall. jackie speier says flight crews needs better warnings. >> it could have been an absolute catastrophe because there were 300 people, including crew that survived that horrific day. >> reporter: she wants the faa to study alert systems that bark out warnings. she proposed an order for the faa to complete the study within one-year. this isn't the first year the faa has been asked to look into these alerts. it has come up twice in the past

44-year-old man in connection with two shootings in the dallas area that left four people dead, four people wounded. he first went to the home of his ex-girlfriend where he shot and killed two women and then went to the home of his estranged wife. he threw a hand grenade inside and shot and killed two other women. police took him into custody. an investigation into the killing of a correctional officer. >> he was shot around 4:00 a.m. this morning in this driveway. he was getting ready to go to work when the shooting happened. investigators have no suspects and no motive but they are looking into if it had to do with his job. the times reports animal control picked a dog up monday.
