bridge it looks good heading out to the high-rise with no major problems. all the way to highway 101. the lane workers are there changing over the lanes and traffic is moving well in both directions. we are following developing news in vallejo. overnight police searched a three square mile yarner the solano county fairgrounds in connection to the disappearance of a missing oakland woman. katie utehs is joining us now with what police are saying about the search and a person of interest now in the case. good morning, katie. >> reporter: police have arrested a man who is called a person of interest. he was last seen with coke's vehicle and credit cards. more on him in a moment. investigators have not said if he pointed them here to the fairgrounds or not. oakland detectives say he called is for detectives around

6:00. as darkness fell search and rescue teams combed an undeveloped area. oakland police say they are still treating this as a missing persons case. coke a federal investigator was seen sunday evening. coke's car, cell phone, and credit cards have been located but still no sign of the missing mother. investigators are not saying while they are searching an area that spans from interstate 80 to the city of vallejo. >> it was deemed that tonight we should start tonight to get it started. that this was made with the oakland investigators as well as our search and rescue personnel. >> search crews paused their efforts early this morning and will resume around 8:00 a.m.. oakland police do have 56-year- old randy alana in custody. he has prior convictions for kidnap and rape. he's being held on a parole

violation. coke's friends say she dated alana years ago. at this point police are calling alana a person of interest and has not said if they have directed them to search for her here. crews on scene tell us they did not find anything at their search overnight. they will resume the search at 8:00 a.m. this morning. that search may include dive teams to search the lakes. sandra coke's sister tonya is pleading with the public to help find her. >> we are begging anybody with information about my sister's whereabouts or anyone with information who may have seen her in the last several days to please come forward immediately. >> family members have announced $100,000 reward for information that helps find sandra coke.

anymore violence sr. until her son is buried. >> do not wear black to my son's funeral. do not come with guns. >> police in oakland are still searching for suspects in this tragic homicide case. now to continuing coverage of the bart labor dispute and the threat of another strike come monday morning. negotiations resume at 10:00 this morning in the latest contact talks. the two sides though still seem to be apart. one union leader says bart workers are ready to issue a million hour strike notice later today. meantime the board of inquiry -- by law the board must report to the governor within seven days. that would be about 10:00 sunday night. just two hours before the latest strike deadline. governor brown will assess the situation and decide whether he will ask a judge to declare a

bang suppression unit spotted the suspect late yesterday and made the arrest. officers say he was carrying a loaded gun. time is 4:37. and starting this morning about 200 high school students on the peninsula will begin taking advance placement tests again. the students at mills high school first took the test back in may. but the college board invalidated their scores after they said the students were seated too closely together. the board is not accusing the students of cheating. right now it's 4:38. we want to check in with sal for the early morning commute on friday. hopefully it's light. >> you know it is very light so far. we don't have a lot going on pam and brian. good morning, to you. let's see what we have now with the east shore freeway. it's a nice looking drive. there are no major problems heading out to the mccarthur maze. if you are looking at westbound bay bridge that traffic tends to look pretty good right now. this time of the morning. and today is no exception. it is a nice looking drive. and if you are driving in san jose northbound 280 traffic

looks good getting up to highway 17. now to steve. i'm sorry. rosemary. good morning, sal. nice to see you as well. the drizzle is back. i had my windshield wiper going early this morning. low clouds, patchy drizzle out there. here's the system that continues our cool to mild pattern. it will be shifting north as we get through the weekend and as it does it's going to help to warm us up. as that moves out of the area, our temperatures will begin to rebound and the low clouds won't be as wide spread as what we are seeing this morning. back all the way through liver morale, antioch, brentwood and into the central valley. fairfield, concord, you are mostly clear at the moment. but take a look very wide spread from the coast around the bay. north bay, south bay. as i mentioned just a moment ago the patchy drizzle is with us once again. we do have the on shore breeze that continues to blow.

fairfield 23 miles an hour. we have watched this time and time again. day after day for the last several days. the on shore cool breeze continues all the way through the delta this morning. 56 in concord. 57 in oakland. 57 in napa. mid 50s at half-moon bay. temperatures very similar to yesterday. slightly cooler in some cases. a look at what we can expect for today. low to mid 60s for downtown san francisco. upper 60s to 70 degrees for the east bay shoreline. temperatures warm up back again. mid to upper 70s for areas like lafayette and concord. so temperatures still below average but we're looking a little better than what we had the last couple of days. here on out notice the gradual climb. temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s as we get into the weekend for your inland communities. low 70s around the bay and 60s expected along the coast. back to the desk. incredible story in tennessee. firefighters rescued a baby

parking lot. 157 weapons were turned in. $100 were handed out for handguns and $200 for semi automatic weapons and shotguns. the campbell police department has posted some amazing video online. a man tried to rob the bottle shop convenient store on wynn chester boulevard yesterday morning. the suspect reached across the county and used a stun gun on the click. he then ran out with some items including cans of soda. lucky the clerk was not seriously hurt. the man accused of kidnapping two children may have rigged his car with explosives. police say james lee dimaggio may have abandoned his blue nissan but not without setting explosives inside. anyone who sees a suspicious vehicle is asked not to approach it but call 911. he is accused of starting a

fire that killed the mother and unidentified child. police have received a lot of leads but there are no confirmed sightings of dimaggio. a new terror threat against the u.s. consulate in pakistan. the state department says the evacuation is due to specific threats against the consulate. it's not clear if this evacuation is related to the closing of other u.s. embassies and consulates in the middle east and africa this week. president obama is expected to answer questions about the recent terror threats and evacuations during a news conference at the white house today. in a meeting with the prime minister of greece yesterday the president told reporters he would answer their questions then. the press conference is scheduled for noon. former nsa contractor edward snowden may be living in

a luxury townhouse in a gated community outside of moscow. according to a russian newspaper snowden could be staying in this high security development you see there. it's surrounded by thick walls and barb wire. the russian government has not said publicly where snowden is living after granting him asylum for one year. 4:48 is the time right now. sal, for people heading into the city, there could be quite a bit of traffic for the outside lands festival. that effects the golden gate area. >> that is true. and in those neighborhoods especially. the best way to get there is use public transportation. use muni out there. let's go out and take a look at the commute on westbound 80 as you head out to the mccarthur maze. it looks pretty good starting off here. there are no major problems. it is a very nice driving coming in from vallejo. the traffic looks good at the bay bridge toll plaza.

she was diagnosissed with leukemia just before christmas last year and lost her hair during treatment. her father search the for ways to grant her wish for hair for her first day of school. one place he contacted was natural look transitions which told him it would cost more than $1,000. >> he's like i can't do it. and then he hung up the phone and my niece called him back and said i'm going to help you raise the money. >> it's amazing how many people come through for you. especially with children with cancer. >> she will have a temporary wig for the first day of school next week and they are continuing to raise money so that she will eventually have two designed hairpieces. >> beautiful girl. great story. time is 4:54. let's go to sal. keeping an eye on traffic. i know the last couple of fridays have not been too great. hopefully today will be friday light. >> i really hope so. we are looking for a nice commute. so far we are starting off welcoming into the city on the bridge. driving on 880 in oakland. it's a very nice drive.
