bridge it looks good heading out to the high-rise with no major problems. all the way to highway 101. the lane workers are there changing over the lanes and traffic is moving well in both directions. we are following developing news in vallejo. overnight police searched a three square mile yarner the solano county fairgrounds in connection to the disappearance of a missing oakland woman. katie utehs is joining us now with what police are saying about the search and a person of interest now in the case. good morning, katie. >> reporter: police have arrested a man who is called a person of interest. he was last seen with coke's vehicle and credit cards. more on him in a moment. investigators have not said if he pointed them here to the fairgrounds or not. oakland detectives say he called is for detectives around

6:00. as darkness fell search and rescue teams combed an undeveloped area. oakland police say they are still treating this as a missing persons case. coke a federal investigator was seen sunday evening. coke's car, cell phone, and credit cards have been located but still no sign of the missing mother. investigators are not saying while they are searching an area that spans from interstate 80 to the city of vallejo. >> it was deemed that tonight we should start tonight to get it started. that this was made with the oakland investigators as well as our search and rescue personnel. >> search crews paused their efforts early this morning and will resume around 8:00 a.m.. oakland police do have 56-year- old randy alana in custody. he has prior convictions for kidnap and rape. he's being held on a parole

violation. coke's friends say she dated alana years ago. at this point police are calling alana a person of interest and has not said if they have directed them to search for her here. crews on scene tell us they did not find anything at their search overnight. they will resume the search at 8:00 a.m. this morning. that search may include dive teams to search the lakes. sandra coke's sister tonya is pleading with the public to help find her. >> we are begging anybody with information about my sister's whereabouts or anyone with information who may have seen her in the last several days to please come forward immediately. >> family members have announced $100,000 reward for information that helps find sandra coke.

fire that killed the mother and unidentified child. police have received a lot of leads but there are no confirmed sightings of dimaggio. a new terror threat against the u.s. consulate in pakistan. the state department says the evacuation is due to specific threats against the consulate. it's not clear if this evacuation is related to the closing of other u.s. embassies and consulates in the middle east and africa this week. president obama is expected to answer questions about the recent terror threats and evacuations during a news conference at the white house today. in a meeting with the prime minister of greece yesterday the president told reporters he would answer their questions then. the press conference is scheduled for noon. former nsa contractor edward snowden may be living in

she was diagnosissed with leukemia just before christmas last year and lost her hair during treatment. her father search the for ways to grant her wish for hair for her first day of school. one place he contacted was natural look transitions which told him it would cost more than $1,000. >> he's like i can't do it. and then he hung up the phone and my niece called him back and said i'm going to help you raise the money. >> it's amazing how many people come through for you. especially with children with cancer. >> she will have a temporary wig for the first day of school next week and they are continuing to raise money so that she will eventually have two designed hairpieces. >> beautiful girl. great story. time is 4:54. let's go to sal. keeping an eye on traffic. i know the last couple of fridays have not been too great. hopefully today will be friday light. >> i really hope so. we are looking for a nice commute. so far we are starting off welcoming into the city on the bridge. driving on 880 in oakland. it's a very nice drive.
