>> and another tree with a guy trying to -- >> test out the homemade zip line. >> why the test was very quick. >> oh! you are looking at an altercation captured on camera between police and this man in the striped shirt. police close in and you'll hear the unmistakable sound of a taser. this is all in victoria, british columbia in canada. this man is still struggling. he gets up. this taser had no effect on him. keep watching because both officers deploy their tasers at once. >> oox. oh, boy. you see the man hit the ground pretty hard. >> according to reports, he was taken to the hospital with lacerations to his face as a result of this fall.

you might be wondering why were police after this guy in the first place? well, according to reports it turns out that this man had threatened a group of people with a knife. police say that that incident was caught on surveillance camera and that's why they found this man. witnesses say that's the knife in his hand and that he dropped that knife on the ground after he was treated for his injuries, he was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including assault with a weapon. the poster of this video is claiming police brutality. the independent investigation's office of british columbia, which is the office that oversees police related incidents, they were notified of this incident and they have decided not to pursue any kind of investigation. >> getting somebody into custody who doesn't want to willingly come along with police, sometimes isn't always the easiest thing to do. and what they have to do isn't always pretty. so it looks textbook to me.

another double dose of dash cam. this car approaching a busy intersection. the car stops. off in the distance to the left you'll see who has the red light. light turns green but you got to be careful because the traffic doesn't always stop. >> oh! >> oh, man. >> right through the pedestrians. >> let's back the video up. you can see the pedestrians waiting on the corner for the light to turn green. they start to walk but miraculously, the angle that the car hit the spacing of the people if you watch it in slow motion, you'll see somehow that car makes it between all of those pedestrians. doesn't hit any of them. >> good thing there was an accident. >> that slight deflection saved those people's lives. >> from scarey to kind of funny. >> that's a giant beer statue of some sort in the back of that truck. now pause the video. look up ahead.

they go to knock off. knock over a bunch of chips. destroy the door. the atm does not even come into frame. >> tell me they ripped off the rear axel or manage. >> i have no idea how you don't damage your car with a robbery attempt like this. but, no, they didn't succeed. las vegas police looking for the public's help in identifying these dudes. got a couple of wild animal encounters. one will leave your hand shaking. the other will leave you shaking your head. a scary one. a mama bear and her cubs caught on camera by a man in a tree stand. he was in northern california doing a little bow hunting and mama bear and the other cubs got a little interested.

aquathon? >> look at those skyscrapers in the background. this is a city in brazil. it's a action picture but also a portrait of the city. first we get about 15,000 pictures. boiled it down to 150 pictures that i then showed a panel of nine judges. >> as beautiful as some of the pictures that we get in are, they are very -- we want a picture that makes you feel like you could have been there. used to try hard to say you had to make less than a certain amount of your income each year in things other than photography. but now it's just impossible to do that. you have to deal with like fakes. people trying to photo shop certain things into the photos. >> we see that a lot. i would like to think that they don't trick us too often. >> look at the second place winner here. when that lightning bolt goes off in the background, the background of the picture is quote/unquote the wrong setting. so that's what's responsible for the purple background. i'm such a photo geek that i could look at this picture and say, yeah, i believe that. >> what advice do you have for the iphone photographer. the people who are capturing the selfies? >> don't put the subject right

in the middle of the picture. for selfies in particular, don't use the camera that's facing the screen. it's like not even one megapixel. >> as a photo editor who has seen thousands can you still be impressed? >> i'm looking at this picture with the cheetah. i don't know how often i've seen two cheetahs on a vehicle with that many people inside. >> everyone saw that picture and thought, whoa, what's going on here. >> i'm moving into the lady and her watering can. you just have the peacefulness. i think that in this picture comes because it's shot so nearly the morning. a lot of photographers just aren't out that early. whether these people that took these pictures are professionals or not, the one thing we know is that they are active readers of the magazine and we feel like they are part of our photographic community. >> that's it for us here at rtm. we'll leave you with the hit music video for "we can't stop" by miley cyrus. enjoy. we'll see you next time. ♪
