tropical clouds continue to filter into the citier have nevada. that is also ramping up our fog bank. fog, sun, breezy, windy at times. it will be cooler inland it looks like we will bottom out on these temps today. here is sal. steve, we have a pretty serious accident on 880 southbound right near the marina boulevard exit. right lanes are blocked and the chp has a backup that is stretching into oakland. you can see the traffic on the road sensors is slowing down. this happened at 3:40 in the morning. so we're almost an hour from it happening. and they are making good progress on clearing the lanes. one car is flipped over here in this crash. southbound 880 as you drive toward 230 there is a crash blocking the entire freeway. one lane is getting through. and just getting word that someone may actually have been arrested here.

serious injuries. we don't to tap oak mt. die die. one burned -- shows the flames stopped at the summit. cal fire says there could have been a major radio communications blackout across northern california if those towers burned. investigators are trying to determine exactly what set off that big fire on the eastern slope. according to the chronicle, several neighbors reported hearing target practice gunfire right before the fire was first reported and sparks from the gunfire may have set off the fast moving flames. investigators are looking into several possible evidence. the news is sparking outrage

rather than military strike. lighter winds have helped firefighters near redding to get more of a handle on a wild fire that destroyed more than 30 homes. it started on monday. fire officials say it's burned close to 6800 acres and forced the evacuations of 60 people. 30 homes were damaged. we spoke to william. >> our grandma daddies truck the the last thing we owned and stuff we couldn't get and i took off on my son's dirt bike. remind you i am blind. >> the fire is threatening an additional 300 more homes and 40% contained. the search continues for suspects tied in the mt. diablo

fire that is sparking outrage across the country. >> we're thinking they just pried this door open here. >> authorities are looking for the thief or thieves who broke into two walnut creek fire houses. the list of stolen items at one fire station includes firefighters wallets, watches, ipads, and wedding rings. >> once you go go out there and protect other people's property and find your own was broken into. it's hard to take. a burglar tried to break into another walnut creek fire house but was scared away from the fire captain inside. they are now reviewing security at all of its fire houses. fremont police arrested a map in connection with a hit and run crash that seriously injured a woman. 46-year-old zairage is accused of crashing into several parked cars monday night. police say he then sped away.

our reporter took as she drove past the scene. this is an arrest of one person involved in that crash. and you can see the lanes that are still flaired off. that was moments ago. they have opened the lanes on southbound 880. this accident was there for about an hour and they just reopened the lanes. one person is on his way to the county jail. let's move along and take a look at the bay bridge toll plaza. southbound. this traffic is moving along pretty well as you drive on to the bridge. let's go to steve. >> sal, thank you. a very good morning. well, a little low. the main impact from that is a cooler pattern. that has lifted that fog up above 2,000 feet. mainly 60s on the temps. i expect these to come down a little bit but everyone is really close. when you get travis gusting to 33 that is a rip roaring turbo

charged sea breeze. delta breeze. concord west, oakland, napa. the westerly wind in some elevations pretty strong. the sea breeze is in place. we started a little cool down yesterday. we will continue that today. we have clouds coming in from west to east and the higher clouds coming off the sierra. most of those will be high thin clouds. no big deal. lots of low clouds. they were only 65. in this kind of pattern that is cool for them. 46 in tahoe. 61 ukiah. crazy weather up in ukiah. ukiah was only 90. really warm for some. and all that cloud cover down in las vegas continues to bring in rain. look at that. that is the low and some of that cloud cover continues to stream back in through the sierra. some of those clouds can drift over us as well. mainly east bay though. fog, fair. mostly sunny. some higher clouds. windy at times. 60s and 70s and some 80s here.
