san jose officials sued the league over the issue. a hearing is set for october 4th. passengers on amtrak got a scare when the train hit a car near 37th avenue in east oakland. the capital corridor train hit the car. no one on the train was hurt. some of the people in the car were injured. another train picked up the passengers an hour later. a car chase started about 9:00 edgewater drive, ended a mile and a half away. witnesses reported seeing a man wanted for car burglary. the man smashed into a parked car and a tree. officers arrested the driver and passenger. he was known, the officers recognized the suspect and the vehicle as well.
