breaking news out of san bruno where pg & e crews are on the scene of a natural gas leak which has halted caltrain traffic in that area. ktvu's cara liu has arrived on the scene and has the very latest. >> reporter: i spoke to caltrans and they tell me so far there's been no evacuations and no injuries out here. what we have learned so far is that this is a gas line break near a caltrain construction site. it happened around 8:15 out here this evening according to caltrans. a construction crew was working here at the san bruno grade separation project. this is the safety project to elevate the track. when workers struck a gas main near san bruno avenue. trains are stopped at the melbrane station and b.a.r.t. is currently accepting caltrans tickets for commuters that are impacted by this. also a bus bridge is in the works. now san bruno avenue has been

closed since friday night for a construction project that was set to reopen at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow. but again firefighters say no injuries and no evacuations they also tell us this was a small diameter of pipe that was involved. and pg & e is working right now to try to cap it off. we have calls into pg & e for more information we will let you know as soon as we get any new details. for now we're live in san bruno, cara liu, ktvu news. moving on now to that developing new chilling new video from inside the niarobi mall where kenyan military continues on a stand off for a second night. this cell phone video shows shoppers running as gunmen open fire at the mall. some people peering around corners clearly confused.

it wasn't a wimper, a foley's store went out with a bang. they toppled the structure in downtown houston without a problem. the owner says he wants to build an office tower on the location. the cost of the deadly colorado floods could go as high as $2 billion. raging water destroyed 1,900 homes and damaged another 16,000. many roads and bridges were also heavily damaged or destroyed. a new jersey firm that estimates the cost of catastrophes says the damage to buildings and roads could hit $1.3 billion. the estimate rises when you add other damage and environmental

>> reporter: san jose police now say the man behind the wheels of this mercedes was 24- year-old danny coleman. investigators say coleman ran after slamming into a toyota killing savala and castro. the women were on their way to work at san jose airport around 3:00 a.m. on labor day. >> i think my wife deserves to have justice. >> reporter: richard castro asked us not to show his face considering the history of the man accused of now killing his wife. danny coleman is associated with a violent east palo alto street gang say police. members of san jose pd covert unit tracked coleman to union city on friday. city officials tell ktvu the special unit arrested coleman in a bank parking lot. >> they conduct very extensive investigations on locating people such as mr. coleman and sometimes it does take some time. there's many hours through the night. >> reporter: police say coleman had help avoiding capture until now but wouldn't elaborate.

well the rain clouds completely cleared up. lots of sunshine for today. as a result the advertised warming trend right on track. it looks like a quiet stable pattern happening right now. it will hold for the next few days. you can see a few showers to the north near cape mendecino. a few partly cloudy observations in parts of the north bay but still a nice stable weather pattern in the next few days. our next concern will be gusty winds later in the day that could boost. the extended gusty winds developing by wednesday night, thursday and into friday. especially for the north bay hills and east bay hills let's keep an eye on those wind speeds. still pretty mild out there. liver mother checking in -- livermore checking in at 63.
