county. back to the desk. >> thank you. a suspected road rage incident that ended in a freeway shooting. joining us now from hayward with what we've already learned about the gunfire. tara? >> reporter: we're at 880 and hayward. what's amazing about the story is the victim was able to drive for a half hour after being shot. this happened last night just before 10:00. the victim pulled over at a hardware store parking lot in richmond following the gunfire in hayward last night. you can see the bullet hole on the side of the honda accord and the dispute was sparked by the person driving the white pickup. >> an altercation on the freeway where one shot was fired through the passenger side of the honda accord. we believe, in the leg. >> reporter: we're not sure why the victim didn't just pull over, perhaps was scared but

was a language barrier so they're trying to figure out. the victim is at the hospital and everything is under investigation. i'm tara moriarty. a man is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow for a detention hearing, prosecutors say ross ran a web site called silk road under the name dread pirate roberts. he was arrested in san francisco library on tuesday. tomorrow, the judge will decide whether he should return to new york to face charges. prosecutors believe he moved to san francisco last year to live with a friend in hays valley. >> a normal average guy that's very unassuming. >> what would he do in the cafe? >> to work. on what, who knows. >> accused of trying to hire a

time now is 4:35. working on several glitches. administrators took down the enrollment section for several hours yesterday. they also admitted to overstating the number of hits the web site received on opening day. it was not $5 million but $645,000. they blamed it on internal miscommunication. rejected a second contract agreement. members of the transit union voted against the contract yesterday. it would have given them a 9.5% raise over three years. the big fear is that the union members could potentially strike at the same time at a bark strike. it continues to tick down to the bark strike. the deadline is one week from day. the talks are set to resume at 9:30 this morning.

last night, ktvu news received word that they made progress on the issues. expected to respond sometime today. tesla now said it knows what caused the fire that destroyed one of model s sedans on the seattle highway. the electric car maker said the fire started when a large metallic object hit the modules. they used water to put out the flames but it kept reigniting. more strong winds kick up a red flag warning for a high fire danger tonight. prepared the warning for the east bay hills, north bay and santa cruise mountains this evening through saturday morning. sal fire is adding firefighters and more equipment and you're asked not to mow dry grass or burn leaves or branches. now, don't be alarmed if you hear an explosion near the

well, there are new developments in the clash between taxis and ride sharer. taxi drivers may file a salute to stop competition from ride sharing companies. the san francisco examiner said the taxi association is meeting today to consider filing a lawsuit against lift side car and uber. lawsuit comes two week after if state public utilities companies by requiring insurance vehicle background checks and inspections. a vigil planned to remember a mother run and over killed at holly park. christie was killed last month while sunbathing at the park with her 11 month old daughter and dog. police say she was hit by city park employee thomas bernoski. he didn't know until they told
