good news but a lot of folks already made alternate plans because as we knew you know this decision may not come down until just before midnight and that exactly was the case. now sunday night we may be right back where we started because nothing was really decided as claudine mentioned, it could come down to sunday at midnight that we find out a strike is on so bart wants people to plan ahead for next week, this shuttle service can accommodate 6000 people a day not close to the 400,000 people who normally ride each day, in the event of a strike during the weekday catch it from 5:00 to 8:00 and from 3:00 until 7:00. tickets will be distributed on a first come-first serve base, they will be at those places. bart is going to have 5 to 15 buses at each station during the week day and all morning service will be directly to san

down. the president has signed a bill allowing families of fallen troops to receive death benefits during the shut down, passage of the bill came a day after military charity offered to make the payments. families typically receive 100,000 dollars from the pentagon within three days of a service member's death. 29 active duty members of the military have died since the shut down began october 1st, including army nurse jennifer moreno, who graduated from the university of san francisco in 2010. >> a three-year-old is in stable condition after being rushed into surgery at the hospital. police say the child's father brought the toddler to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, the father told police the child had been unresponsive since being picked up from day care. child protective services has launched an investigation. 4:38. oakland police are investigating a deadly

shooting. that happened at about 7:30 last night in the neighbor. they are interviewing witnesses but no arrests have been made. >> two people are in the hospital after this car crashed into the cafe there. it went through the wall hitting the electrical system. it is unclear what caused it to crash but two people again were taken to the hospital, no one in the store was hurt, the crash still under investigation. >> investigators say no foul play is suspect in the death of lynn spaulding, whose body was found in a stairwell at san francisco general hospital. she was admitted to the hospital with an infection on september 9th and apparently left her room two days later and went through an emergency exit to the stairwell, the mayor said an alarm went off when he checked that exit yesterday. >> we are going to be

his wife have been convicted in a scheme to sell used bart tickets on ebay. avery and gladys noles were given 5 years probation and ordered to pay more than 48,000 dollars in restitution, he was accused of collecting hundreds of low value tickets that were supposed to be destroyed, he added value to them at work and his wife sold them on ebay, noles faces discipline and possible termination from bart. >> 4:45, police are asking them to be extra cautious after they reported seeing a man with a gun near there yesterday morning, that prompted police to lock-down the building leaving hundreds inside, after a search no gunman was found, they say students and teachers did a good job taking shelter, some had to be convinced they were really the police before they opened the doors. three california chicken processing plants linked to a
