the streets of tyler, texas, was caught on dash cam video. it required the help of four different departments, the smith county sheriff's department, dps, troopers, tyler police and the cherokee county constable to try to pull over this man. apparently, the boss of the 57-year-old driver, garland wayne shaddock called because he

said garland had not taken his medications and was acting erratically. police found him and tried to pull him over to check on him. that's when he took off and he was driving on these very busy streets at speeds of up to 114 miles an hour. here you see them driving through a red light and you see cars stop very abruptly. >> 114 is fast when you. >> narrator: a factory car like that. that is pretty quick. >> at one point, you see that actually swarms his car towards the constable that was trying to stop him using spike strips. you do also see him very briefly running for his life. >> the chase ended up lasting about 40 minutes and eventually, garland, himself, ended up pulling over, got out of his car and put his hands up in the air surrendering. >> that's better than it ending in some sort of wreck. >> fortunately, no be wbody was injured in this chase and garland was taken to the hospital and booked into the county jail for evading arrest

on fire. it is not a pinto. obviously. passersby saw this guy's car. he didn't even realize that the back of his car was on fire until everybody around him starting pulling over running to him. your car is kind of on fire. >> a hot ride you got, no, really. >> when they finally alerted him to what was going on, we find out there were butane tanks in the back of the truck. take a look at what the vehicle looked like afterwards. >> that's probably what ended up igniting and causing the fire in the first place. >> he still drove that sucker to work. >> heck, yeah. >> can you believe it? >> this other video was captured on a road in the u.k.? the driver of this vehicle, talk about being at the right place at the right time. phil robinson is driving this car with a dash cam. he sees a van smoking up. when he noticed the smoke, he said he immediately knew what was wrong with the vehicle. apparently, the vehicle's engine

hunter in minnesota went out looking for some game and wound up losing himself. troopers up in the helicopter were looking around for about 20 minutes when the technology of this lear camera system helped find the guy and his dog. see that hot, bright spot out in the woods. that's his body registering as a bright, white signal for the camera. you see the guy waving, over here. the pilots up in the helicopter were able to guide ground teams in because they weren't able to land the helicopter. >> who is the other dude? >> that's the ground team. the pilot up in the air saying, here is your guy. keep walking that way. >> they let the dog lead them to his owner. the dog helped. >> this is 1:15, 1:20 in the morning when this is going on. >> that's right. >> he must have went out at dusk. >> thankfully, the troopers with state patrol were able to get on this quickly and the guy did not
