far. the livermore valley westbound traffic off to a nice start, let's go back to the desk. we begin with breaking news in concord, firefighters are battling a large fire at buchanan field. tara moriarty is at the scene where crews were forced to take a defensive approach to fight the fire. >> reporter: they say it is under control but just a couple of minutes we noticed a lot of black smoke billowing and it is obviously another new section of this building which is going up in flames. you can see this smoke billowing from a mile away. flames broke out this morning in the warehouse on stand well drive on concord avenue with a telecommunications business. you can actually smell the

plastic burning. the fire never threatened any homes, this is mainly an industrial area. there are 70 firefighters fighting this blaze and it quickly went to a 4 alarm blaze. there is a lot of space for firefighters to tackle.. >> the south corner of the building has collapsed and we are hoping to have the fire dead out here. >> the fire captain is advising people to take precautions, keep your windows shut, it should not be a problem since it is so cold out side. the chief has requested some help for the size of this fire and they have so much rubble to sift through to find out where this fire started.

and live from concord, i am tara moriarty, ktvu channel 2 morning news. we have some new developments in san jose where city council has voted to place new restrictions on marijuana dispensaries. they voted 8-3 to prevent pot clubs from moving near schools or even homes. they are allowing it in just 1% which bands them from san jose. >> we have always been tar getted and this is similar to prohibition. >> there is a lot of enforcement issues we need to be concerned about and there is also a moral issue we need to make. >> they need to start to put the issue on the ballot. they are looking for suspects in the city's 4th 4th homicide this week.

a young man was shot to death last night in the parking lot of a recording studio. some people witnessed the shooting but there were no arrests. another deadly shooting in vallejo, the fatal shooting drew an angry crowd to the scene and that prompting police to try to provide crowd control. police have not revealed any suspect information in that and there were two other homicides in vallejo this week. happening right now, people in south africa continue to pay respects to nelson mandela. his casket is now lying in state and they transported it and it is on display where
