the fire at the telecommunication warehouse broke out at 12:30 this morning. neighbors were concerned for their safety because of the foul smelling smoke. >> the fire burned fast, bright and intense. tire protection received the call and spent hours battling the fire. the building recycles old telecommunication items. what burned were itemed inside the warehouse. a lot of metal, wood and kitchen equipment and phone equipment, things piled up. firefighters could not go inside fearing the roof would collapse, for those who worked in the area it was the smoke that was the problem. people could smell it for miles away. down the street at the print

shot by police today in the north bay. a bank robbery and chase cull minute ated with a police shooting. the chase started in novato at the bank of the west and ended in sandra fell with a crash -- san rafael. the fbi is now trying to determine if the man who was shot is responsible for a dozen bank heists. >> the crime scene is a wide one. a suspected bank robber shot across from the north gate mall. >> i heard four shots consecutively. a suspect was down. he dropped, he didn't move or anything. the officers surrounded him. >> they were inside their law firm feet away. i did not think there would be shots fired in front of our office. >> a police spokeswoman said it
